There's this american-arabic student at our college, and as a fun little ice-breaker exercise, our tutor told us to write a famous name down on a post-it note and stick it on a persons fore head.
We put down Miley Cyrus......she took 2 minutes to figure it out, and the one before that was Justin Beiber put on my forehead (fuking hell just coz I have a fringe...)
but ya know, she was nervous. and young. and has a naturally annoying voice (which isn't entirely a diss. I think her personality is a lot more charming than that voice lets on). Emma Watson is a special breed of maturity. Miley was again very young and raised by the dude that sang achy breaky heart.
i honestly think she needs to be given some credit.
I don't particularly like her, but I don't think this interview is that bad. She's just a kid, plenty of us were arrogant, loud, overly confident and just downright annoying at that age.

@Bhamtop Oh goodness do not look at Miley Cyrus and lump together child actors from the US, based off of her personality. Emma Watson sure as hell doesn't represent every young actor from the UK and Miley does not represent every young actor from the US. Comparing Emma to Miley is like comparing apples to oranges. Dakota Fanning is a young actress from the US and she doesn't act like Miley. You people need to stop with the sweeping generalizations of a whole country of people.

@Bhamtop I have to disagree. You're talking about a very large country, both in terms of size and population. I think she represents a certain cross-section of American children. She's from the south, and I think you can see her 'down-home' country personality pretty clearly here... And she was raised in a celebrity family, very rich, and always in the limelight. I don't think that's true of Emma Watson but I could be wrong.
