i have a 2003 6.0 bought it for 15.7k have it for 7 months now. total cost of injectors,heads,oil pump,fuel pump.alternator,transmission,d­ifferential,towing $12,500.I am seriously considering burning it down with a few gallons of gas in front of a ford corporate office or or a ford dealer.Just to save the rest of honest working man. Oh I am a very patient man seriously but i dont see this nightmare called f350 ending anytime soon.All i need is a sponsor just to cover the half of the cost.

I would like to see Chev come out with an off road package that consists of more than shocks and stickers, there locker sucks! Out of the big three this is the biggest princess of them all, although if you don't go off road ignore what I said. I am a fan of the Ford Raptor and the Dodge Power Wagon because they actually have real off road packages with more wheel travel and two selectable lockers.

Z71 (no dash) is more comparable to the FX4 package with Ford and the TRX package with the Dodge. It's not an Off-road war machine like the Ram Power Wagon and the SVT Raptor are, with things like disconnecting swaybar, massive uphill torque assist, widened chassis to accept larger approach angles etc,

@SecularTechnology , the Raptor is wider so there is less of an agle on the cv axle shafts and more wheel travel and improved stability at speed, and I don't consider the FX4, z71 off road packages, they are mere sticker packages, any time you see a sticker that states off road package ask the salesman what makes it off road, he will point to the shocks and stickers and maybe a weak plastic skid plate, very sad, on the other side of the fence if you want a sports car every manufacturer has one.

I got a quote and it was 60 g's with the 6.6. then the 2011 sierra is 40g's almost the same interior 6.6. are this little things worth 20 thousand? not to me I'll may be get a used one. 45gs is good price with the 6.6 but not with 6.0.
