We rich fat Americans? well at least we can feed and support ourselves. Third world trash is all u are! THat reminds me i gotta turn up the heat in my big new house, lol!
Yes, THE TIME HAS COME. Time to stop living on credit like rich fat Americans. Time to pay your bills. Time to stop borrowing money to take vacations you stupid people. Time to stop building huge houses, time to live within your means. Time to get rid of the second or third (!) car. Time to stop punishing the planet with your greed. Go back to being fishermen and sheep herders like your grandparents. Time to make things people want instead of buying them from China.
Not everyone here in USA is rich. Those who are poor are driven economically to depend on credit, because that's all the Fed gives us, and has given us since its founding in 1913. :( The huge houses and living within our means issue is, again, pushed onto us by corporate advertising (see the documentary The Corporation for a great illustration). BELIEVE ME, we would LOVE to go back to our roots, but we're utterly powerless. :(
A question we should all be asking. Loudly. Incessantly. Until there are answers. Until there is accountability. Until there are solutions. This is why protesting, contacting elected officials, writing to your newspapers, voting, getting involved any and every way you can is vital. This happens when we do nothing. ASK the QUESTIONS, then TAKE ACTION!
why? because the federal reserve is the largest bank in the world, and the US federal government is the largest corporation in the world. the government is protecting itself.
That is how recent (progressive and profit driven) economy model has its workings. The economy of state depends on banks and banks depends on economical and political interests of the state. The citizens in the relation to state are just tax payers... no human face attached. For the bank the citizens are just the payers of interests... no human face again. Are you surprised?
I value the people in Iceland standing up for themselves, and even recently in Ireland, one million people from labor (have I the number correctly) marched against their government.
Why are not we, in the United States, doing the same thing...we have been lulled into protecting our comforts, and not rocking the boat.
I have no answers regarding the citizens of US. Though I think the non-getting involved behavior, the solipsism is at work everywhere. I have hopes that you, the citizens of US shall wake up and demand some answers, get involved and not just minding your own business... that's vital.
This was done in 2009. How is Iceland now that they have kicked the Satanic Bankers out?

Why are the governments all over the world protecting the bankers and corporations over the people, especially it's middle class citizens?

Unfortunately, I'm not surprised.

Just searched and found that it's 100,000....which makes sense to the size of their entire population.
