Thanatos is not death or god of death, it's both of them. in modern greek it is the word for death , but in ancient greek it was also the god of death although some guys tald you it was hadis or pluto (in ancient greek religion there was not only ONE god for death or sun or anything, and the barrier between the ''god'' of something and the thing itself (for example death) is not very easy to tell, you cannot tell the difference between them.
