For what I have been reading and viewing. Ron Paul has the right view of what our policy should be. Getting our American finger out of the world pie. If you think he is wrong on this issue. Then you are not thinking about the actions our nation has taken over decades to secure oil.We really are smart enough to end this cycle if big oil gets out of the policy making of this country. Please look farther down the road.
There are plenty of people in positions of power that can stand up, make difficult decisions and make changes - yet very few do. Why? Because we are in an era of general political paralysis. The onset of this started decades ago with opinion polls, PAC's, spin doctors, etc. We are living in the middle of a systemic break-down of a political paradigm. I'm not trying to be an alarmist but it's quite clear to me that fundamental changes must be made to ensure wise leadership.
Maybe it's time that Irak became Americas newest territory, something like the Virgin Islands but without the beaches and we can send in Guliani to be the first govenor and illiminate crime.
Why? Ron Paul wants to destroy all gov't agencies that help people. Liberals and progressives think the gov't can be a force for good, as it was under Clinton and all Democratic presidents. And it can be done with tax increases because we need to shift priorities away from Iraq.

What if the "tough decision" by Bush et al IS to continue to kick the can? What if what's going on in Iraq is EXACTLY what they want?
