  • i greatly appreciate the quality and clarity your video was. Exactly what i needed thanks a ton

  • where should i put now the 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com ??

  • The file modifies and saves in terminal, but when I check the actual hosts file, it stays the same as before. What am I doing wrong?

  • @dmargosian06 Did you press "Y" then enter?

  • @lizards821 Yeah, I realized I had to press enter after saving to overwrite the current file. Anyways, thanks for the video, it helped a lot. You know Apple and their anti-jailbreaking ways...

  • OMG bro, I'm so happy now. Thank you so much now!!! I can finally restore my iPhone and iPad without getting those stupid errors. Thanks a million!!

  • Thanks man helped me out a ton :)

  • what does this help you do?

  • @qwertyuiop1232123212 It helps you eliminate those errors you get when you restore your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. When I installed Lion I couldn't modify the hosts file and tried to restore my iPad to it's factory settings and I kept getting a message saying this device isn't elegible for the requested build. Now after using terminal and modifying the hosts file now I can restore all my devices :)
