RIP Cliff.. not just an awesome bassist, an awesome musician ;) People say Jason sucks because he used a pick rather than fingers (what Cliff did), and Rob sucks because he doesn't match their style.. I prefer Cliff's bass to either of them, but I don't agree. If Rob sucked I don't think he would be accepted into a band like Metallica or would have played aside Ozzy Osbourne in his past. Nor would Jason be Metallica's bassist for almost 15 years..
