What bothers me (in terms of authenticity) is the way the "sky" wobbles but the ground doesn't. I'm no expert in film but this just seems inconsistent. It certainly could be real, but I wish there was better evidence to back up that supposition.
@reddibacon Actually about half the time the funnel only comes halfway down and still causes severe damage. It doesn't matter at all whether the actual funnel is on the ground. It is wind which causes the damage.
i think that footage of tornados look scarier in black and white...its sort of is symbolic of how little people knew about tornados, and how once there were no warning systems
October of 1933 was when this tornado occurred. I think the confusion with 1930 comes from the Tornado Project's website listing it as 1930, which was probably just a typo.
I get why that was black and white then...

You cant always tell if a tornado touched the ground from youtube.

no you idiot.
the sky just has a boner.
Harleyquinn191 4 months ago
technically, it wasn't a tornado since it never touched the ground.
sonnyfoxable 7 months ago
@sonnyfoxable bad video, it did touch the down, condensation funnel just didn't extend down. That's what records say anyway.
dotch8774 7 months ago
This is indeed as far as is known the first motion picture of a tornado.

The person who posted this didn't claim that this was the first tornado. Just one of the first ever filmed. Read the title niknvik.

AESOPPOSEA1 11 months ago
defiantly not the 1st tornado. Wanna know why? Because this is a fucking funnel.

@gri22ly100
hey retard it did damage. Just because the actual funnel isn't on the ground doesn't mean it isn't a tornado.
reddibacon 1 year ago
@reddibacon not normally but you r probably right
