  • I just ordered your Intro To Shackle Hands. I look forward to learning this system.

  • It looks to me like it's an art designed to be used by people who were "shackled" (handcuffed), probably designed to counter oppressors who captured and routinely shackled their captives.

Reminds me of the mindset behind Nunchaku of Okinawa being adapted farm implements used for rice- thrashing.

    Very cool... :o)

  • I can see this style work in a fight.

    Looks simple but efficent.

  • So, how do I get a hold of learning materials? I would love, love to learn these movements.

  • The lower self and lower circles of vibration that we sometimes allow to penetrate our consciousness.

  • it actually seems to be a very traditional african technique. was new to me too...

  • The mind is the ultimate weapon... the sword can kill you once, but the pen can kill you twice.

  • And when I look into the Sun's Eye, I see infinite degrees of emptiness.

  • this is really great

  • Self Sensitivity Drill...one half of all martial arts...shackle hand is just an example.

  • how or where can I learn this style?

  • is the Shackled hands dvd an instructional one?

  • there is a chinese version of this, i believe it was a muslim style (arhat?) I was reading a book on this several years ago.

  • Taijiquan uses this kind of wrapping and coiling throughout it's entire application ,eg: push hands and chin na

  • Masterbakari im African America you see I wish i knew "the shackled hands" techniques so i could practice what our people had to do when they were caged up and shackled down..so pm me some tutorials ok thank you *Black Revolutinaire*

  • 500 years of slavery? What are the dates on that?

  • I can see the creative side of his invention, to show creativity when suppressed. Did you develop this just for dance or can it have some real fighting capabilities?

  • i know every culture had their own martial arts it is nice to see the african art of fighting great

  • This shackled hands skills are more than just a few hundred years , it was actually practiced in Africa and Brazil .

Just as Capoeira developed in the plantation fields of brazil for self defense , this is quite similar.

Capoeira was a rather simple martial skill and it was not really acrobatic since you could never use the hands to make cartwheels and etc.

Fast and Hard Front kicks , roundhouse kicks , side kicks and even the jumping back kick was known to the people.

    Peace bro.

  • Kemetic Hands looks good.

  • That was cool...... Keep up the good work.

  • Hotep!!!

  • 2 things my good brother, 1, have you EVER used that in a fight?? and 2. Why name it some slave terms...shackle hands...we werent always slaves its kinda offensive...maybe unity hands instead, hotep lol

  • The correct term is Kiango Cha Mkuno. Which translate to mean: To link, to Connect, to Bind, to Yoke, to Harmonise. to Shackle. So as to never forget our five hundread years of slavery....We call it "The Shackled Hands."

  • what is that song

  • bob Marly Slave driver

  • this is really enilightening me about the MA. ive studied chinese wing chun for a long time and im shocked out how closely this resembles WC's techniques (or rather how wingchun resembles this as im sure it predates it) - straight line techniques, centre line control, facing the opponent square on, simultaneous use of hands, punching up from the gound... i could go on. so where exactly does this originate in africa and where could i learn in uk?you have an amazing form, reallyinspiring movements

  • Wow I really want to learn this. Just in case I get arrested.

  • peace*7 andthanks for showing the original advance form of blackgod fighting twine or 52

most important the kata means history and you just told it the shackle hands way. and plite of our people-yes some slaves were great warriors and masters in their own right........................jumbo*7)

  • Peace and Blessings also to you my Brother

  • peace my brother for showing the original blackgod style called the shackle fist twine in the F.O.A. an advance stage of 52

    ......................................peace*7)

  • This shackle hands thing thing is not of African Origin....it's really just the "X-formation pattern of chinese martial arts."

Let's say for the record African Martial Arts are derived from dances.

As for the fighting techniques seen in the Hieroglypics.....I know those pictures are the key to solving the mystery behind authentic "Pankration" a greek fighting art. Stolen Legacy a book proves that Greek Art and legacy is stolen from the Egyptians.

  • The book Stolen Legacy doesn't prove much. Aristotle never looted the Library at Alexandria because it was built after his death. Egyptian philosophy doesn't match Greek philosophy enough to support the idea that Greeks stole from Egyptian philosophy.

  • @4567pod

Just because you don't WANT it to be of African Origin, that doesn't mean it isn't. Chinese Martial artists, like Shaolin Monks, have even admitted that their movements were borrowed from peoples of other far away places. Who is to say that Asians invented this? White people, who have a natural bias against everything African. Said bias, which stems from Asian over-exposure and romanticism that clouds their judgment which lets them come up with the stupidest of anti-African absolutes.

  • Jambo, yangu ndugu I am the Grandmaster of the African American Martial Art of Kwa or Ya Asilia Avita Sanaa. In Kwa Asilia Avita Sanaa we have a system the pays tribute to our ancesters called "Utumwa" or Bondage that resemble your shackle hand method it includes slapboxing, knees, elbow strike & blocks, leg kicks, checks & sweeps, stomping, chokes, pokes, scratching, biting, suffocations, and headbutts. We are proud of what you are doing thank for posting this video.

  • The Chinese have a folk style called "Wu Song Breaks Manacles". The boxer holds their hands together like they are manacled and use lots of knees and elbows.

  • very good clip

  • Interesting, what martial art does that particular form come from?

  • 52 Blocks

  • As always, your videos and demostrations are amazing.
