  • Dr. Shaheen was really unique. A true scholar, 100% dedicated Shakespeare and the Bible, seven days a week. I never saw him dressed in anything but a suit, even on a sweaty August weekend in Memphis. He was really proud of his Biblical period oil lamps. He was among the best professors I ever had.
