  • Ok- clearly I MUST state this as SOME of you or MANY of you have NO CLUE! This is guy is wasting time and doing NOTHING fast. He is NOT doing Curls- and is using the machine toooo fast either way. He has NO form at any point. I have been training others since 1990. What he is doing in COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

  • @250garbear lol it's a good way to compare form, but the creator of this video is an idiot, there is nothing wrong with using a row machine like this, obviously we wouldn't do this when actually rowing a boat but nothing wrong with getting some curls in I guess.

  • How do you know he doesn't have an injury that he's protecting? An elbow or wrist injury could mean normal form causes aggrivation. Put down your camera and go lift some weight.

  • @thefitnesssavy what I mean is that the machine has a very specific use and the action he is using is going to be of little/no benefit to his biceps imho. It would be much more worth his while to use the correct form on the rowing machine and then do some bicep curls. Though I agree with your opinion that calling him an idiot is too harsh.

  • @TheFitnessSavvy Sooner or later he's going to hit himself square in the face. The machine is supposed to simulate the action of rowing in an Olympic-style race boat as I'm sure you know..I would say if he wants to work out his biceps it would be safer and more beneficial to do some curls.

So one should only use the row machine if you're going to use it to practice your "olympic rowing form", OK. Maybe you should only lift weights if you're a competitive bodybuilder, power lifter, or other professional athlete, how does that sound?

    This guy is essentially doing the same thing one would do with power bands and the like, with an aerobic workout.
