I have great respect for Rutan and his ability to engineer and test with few resources.
That said, I find it odd that Engineers usually fail when trying to do science. The two disciplines are similar but not the same. I don't care what opinion you have of this issue. Generally, a scientist performs investigations to try to understand more about the world, an engineer takes scientific theories and principals from scientists to develops solutions to problems.
if that car was so important why dont' you used your massive airplane making facilitie's to make another one. you are one awesome man mr. rutan I hope to be like you one day.
Lots of politics....lots of latest technology from the '70s, but little or no mention of science. Still waiting for John Coleman's lawsuit against Al Gore. As for bias...
"Hello Pot? Yeah it's the kettle! Just calling to let you know that you're black!
I have a lot of respect for Rutan's accomplishments, but denying that at least part of global warming is likely anthropogenic is similar to denying that second-hand cigarette smoke exposure is dangerous: difficult to prove, but illogical (and likely due to rationalization) to discount. Also, the domestic oil companies are not "miniscule" compared to foreign oil companies....
even if climate change isn't man made why shouldn't we look after the environment? why do you hate breathing clean air and drinking unpolluted water so much? the debate isn't just about global warming it's about looking after what god gave us and passing it on to your kids and grandkids in the same state if not better, and well that just isn't happening anymore is it?
so forget your stupid conspiracy theories and start recycling!
@MsJaded3000 That is the typical fallback argument that all the climate bozos use when they are made to look stupid in the face of facts. What you are missing, is that the presentation here has nothing to do with the environment. It is about wasting human productivity on an issue that doesn't exist. It is about government restricting freedoms based on a premise that is fabricated. It is about recognizing that a carbon tax is nothing more than global theft. Wake up fool.
@MsJaded3000 Look, its not bad to take care of the envirorment. Recycle, please, and drive your hybrid. But remeber carbon monoxcide is plant food. the more you have, the more O2 you get. The hole in the O-zone is the same as it was hundreds of years ago. And the average temp has dropped 1.4 degress in the last two years.
No one like hearing the truth Burt. I tried to tell you the truth ahile I worked for you and your refused to listen .... Go Talk to Bob Williams about Global warming. He isn;t doing anything I guarantee it.
the blame goes to the fact that it's a video with the screen blocked out. I want to see Burt, not a screen full of text. Might as well listen to the radio.
Great to see more knowledgeable public figures speaking out. You don't need to be a climatologist or a rocket scientist to see that man caused global warming is a blatant scam.
It may be a scam, it may not. Rutan is a rocket scientist, not a climatologist, but even then it really doesn't matter. Global warming is a good excuse to get the public to switch energy sources to things that are renewable. This change will have to come sooner or later. The middle east is a war zone, the danger of oil spills etc. Even if it isn't real, I think that the switch from oil should happen and global warming is a good scare tactic.
There is no justification for "renewables" . Solar and wind are ridiculously expensive because their construction consumes more energy than they give out. Variability gives a maximum practical use of 10% total power generation. The only benefit renewables gives is to companies like GE, who promote the AGW scam.
That's the technology we have now. It can improve, but the whole process will take longer if there isn't enough demand for it. Plus, that might not be the only thing available, someone could come up with a different way to produce energy. Either way, we need to stop consuming so much oil and if global warming will get people to demand change then I am all for it, even if it is a lie. At least the end product will be positive, unlike lying to the public to support a war for example.
Technology cannot prevent clouds passing in front of the sun, make the sun shine in peak demand periods and prevent fluctuations in wind. The cost of power storage makes a ridiculously expensive technology a complete farce.

I have watched all 6 videos.

It's not an O-zone. It's ozone. Molecules consisting of 3 oxygene atoms.

@usmarine519 Carbon *dioxide* is plant food. Catch is, if there aren't enough plants to "eat" the "food", where does it go?
