  • i like it -- its very good show

  • the accord has a stationwagon, wow.

  • Only a few of those were not possible... most of the rest; plausible.

  • Its a very nice design

  • is this a commercial?

  • I did one of these and got 5th place in the science fair

  • I call BS on the wheels on 0:28 doesn't look like it had much force for that to happen

  • Comment removed

  • fake but at least not gay

  • SPANK THE MONKEY

  • though the ad was computer engineering showing mechanical engineering

  • gr8 engineering

  • Pretty well made Rube Goldberg seeing that it's computer animated

  • can some 1 please tell me what mechanical engineering is about and what kind of work could i be doing if i study it?

  • nicely done

  • aweasome chain reaction

  • To be continued?

  • i just had an nerdgasm

  • Superb

  • Dominos for adults.

  • that has got to be the longs commercial ad I have ever seen!

  • cant tell if ppl being really stupid or just trolling

  • that was so cool

  • if u disagree with the weighted wheels idea, i dont blame u, but i certainly can't agree with u either because the idea is theoretically possible. and despite wiki being considered "no-good" as a source, i'm gonna go with it and assume its 77 references and stated awards are a good indication of the director's willingness to make every sequence real. i'm goin to assume that the director did have the guts to do this, that he did win those awards for a reason, and that he is one badass mofo.

  • SENTRY DOWN

  • mechanical power

  • HE GOTTAM

  • triple trouble yal!

  • believe me when i tell you...the steadiness of the camera...cleanliness of the components..and the perfect execution every time, screams one explanation.."CGI!!!"

  • they failed at certain physics

  • how did it start again?

  • You fags are so ignorant. This is actually a real rube goldberg that was actually done. It took over 600 tries to complete a continuous run. The wheels are have counterweights in them so once they get touched, they are free to roll down. Not fake, just accept people are smarter than you.

  • Fake

  • :27 defies the laws of gravity, what kind of engineer approved this? must be american...

  • @wingking077

I think your idea that nationality somehow has to do with individual intelligence, is extremely petty of you. What nationality are you? Maybe I can utilize your display of ignorance to represent your culture.

  • @mudoyal im an alien, you better piss of before I lazer beam your ass

  • @wingking077

Do you mean, "im" as in "I'm" which is short for "I am"? Because you are coming "off" as a little simple. And, maybe I will "piss of". Or did you mean "Piss Off"?

Whether you are addressing nationality, or individuality, please attain some intelligence before you attack on the character of others.

Now go be 13 somewhere else.

  • @mudoyal

    eat shit

  • this is cool and all, but its fake. everyone should be able to see that this isnt real.

  • @dopecookiedk you must be some kind of super genious

  • @Bowman446 i know. i am actually kind of like god. kind of.

  • @dopecookiedk I was being sarcastic, everyone knows it isn't real. it's all part of the gimmick.

  • @Bowman446 some guys in here say it IS REAL and that it also earned some price...

  • this is really superb

  • Really Good

  • For the wheels, it's a question of barycenter

  • this is awesome

  • is it true or something fake......

  • great ads

  • Guys, I need your assistance, if I may. If you compare the two, getting a degree in mechanical engineering is ALMOST as getting a degree in physics. Am I right? I mean, I know you learn some other stuff in M.E. (like some economics and chemistry, drafting, standards, etc.), but for the most part (say, 80% of the syllabus), you're actually learning physics. So now I need to choose what degree I want to get. What do you guys suggest? Mechanical engineering, or physics? :\

  • @aryesegal1988 Actually there are huge differences. Physics is purely science knowledge and the laws that govern. Mechanical engineering is going to teach you things you can directly apply in design processes. Engineering processes that will improve saftey factors, for example. Honestly, if you knew anything about engineering, I don't think you'd want anything to do with it if you're just interested in "physics", and vice versa.

  • @aryesegal1988 I agree with jumper86 in that its drastically different. For one a degree in mech eng is a lot of APPLIED physics (i.e. learning the limits of materials and building designs within the limits). Pretty much you will gain a good understanding of mechanical systems operate and hence can design and build your own based on the theories you gain.

Physics is more theoretical and will generally teach you about small quantum related matters (great choice if interested in graduate studies)

  • 5/5!

  • best addd

  • it's illogical at 0.29 to 0.33 seconds .....how can d wheels move upwards with such a minimum force.

  • Comment removed

  • it must cost a butt load to play that on tv O_O

  • HONDA = Had One Never Did Again

  • gotta love rube goldberg machines

  • Honda Rocks. But I still prefer GE. (Imagination at Work)

  • now picture a physics problem with all those variables involved. lol

  • loved it till the end.......honda

  • this ad took almost two years....to get done..n got the the award for the best ad of year at..the year of creation

  • good video

  • ok..time to see this done in real life

  • 0:31 no gravity?

  • @watarball conservation of momentum ;)

  • add is brilliant!

  • that wouldve been good if it was 30 seconds long

  • soooo cool

  • excellent!

  • i read the true story behind this comercial long time ago. every part is real and it was film in real time(no cut and paste) i cant remember everything but i know that it took them more than 600 tries to finally get it right. i think is awesome

  • very great!.... ^__^

  • too bad its CGI

  • wow XD

  • Awesome domino effect with car parts. This is so fun to watch.

  • One of the best ads I have ever seen

  • The wheels are weighted a certain amount around the inside of the rim so that they'll roll uphil when knocked otherwise it's true that it wouldn't have worked. The appliance of science.

  • @monkeyboydai What about the silencer? (Exhaust pipe-silencer? don't know the correct definition in english)

It seems to roll further than it should have

  • @monkeyboydai actually the energy is transfered between the wheels , basic science retard

  • @jackthebassist13

The wheels were actually weighted for this video. But you probably are a basic science retard. Thanks for letting us know!

  • Comment removed

  • @monkeyboydai Please explain in lazymans terms ?

Im trying to understand it but its confusing :/

  • @iHsg16 imagine a wheel with a brick on top of it, when its on top its center of gravity is over the contact point with the ground, so its balanced. Now imagine the brick attached to the side (outer rubber that contacts the road) of the wheel. The wheel will roll so the brick hits the ground. As long as the center of gravity is to the right of the contact point it will roll right, uphill or down, the incline changes the contact point.

In the video the first tyre is normal to set up the illusion.

  • @azzazx6r See that makes sense but is there some kind of lock that holds the 'brick' onto the right side of the wheel so it constantly pushes in that direction?

  • @iHsg16 no...the tire can only roll half a turn, less on an incline, that's why they need 3 to get to the top

  • All of that would word besides the part at 0:27 that wheel does not have enough momentom to push all those wheels but besides that all of it i believe was real

  • agree i am also thinking that same....

  • wow.......so impressive!!!!!!!!

  • sickkk

  • iTS MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

  • sick lol!!!

  • do mechanical engineers work with cars and stuff?

  • Yes, they design the cars's engines, the power of motion for the engine, and AutoCAD.

  • @shadow9Ox they build them or make them better mechanics fix them

  • No it's not. They tried so many times to make it work for real and that's why it's famous.

  • 0:28-0:33 LOL

  • @COD5252 lol they defy gravity xD

  • that was really amazing

  • wasn't the honda advert?

  • this is true? or just a camera trick...lol

  • its cg
