I am half Cypriot &orthodox, in the cold war the superpowers, including USA commitioned greek junta &turkish army to invade & kill 1000's civilian greek &turkish cypriots, they vandalised 4000 churches, desecrated & opened graves. desecrated Jesus's friend Agios Barnabus remains at Salamis & the theft by the army of his hand written bible. We pray the stolen icons be returned to the people, Apostolos Andreas monastery which is falling down be repaired, the churches&grave yards restored. Amen
It is so beautiful and so touchy! I cried to the words of the prayers even if I say them every morning. Thank you for reminding me the beauty of our Orthodox faith! God bless all the Orthodox in the world!
