  • YES THE REAL ELANOR. none of that Wicker Man bullshit, this is the real car!

  • Every vehicle during that time is V8 powered.

  • i like this movie, i´ll watching the other parts too =)

  • wow, Hollywood remakes everything

  • sounds like the 429 cobra jet engine

  • Excellent movie. No computer enhancement or green screen for this classic!

  • reminds me of the arcade game chase hq

  • wtf laggy

  • And that kids, is why Ford is the best.

  • You are looking at the original Eleanor. As you can see it's not a Mustang Shelby, it's a 73 mach 1 fast back

  • Thats how I drive just to get to work in the morning in Sydney traffic lol.

  • fucked up a real nice car

  • @outforravengeance

these werern't $20,000 collector cars back then. They were just cars. If they wrecked one, big deal, there were tens of thousands to replace it with. It's not like the general lee where over a hundred were destroyed in the dukes of hazzard series.

  • damn these people couldn't drive

  • no driving S.O.B.

  • I used to have a 72 mustang mach 1 in blue looked almost the exact same im still kicking my self cause i sold it

  • does someone a coy of this kinda music in the background, particularly from the start of the movie, loved it!

  • " I shoulda read my horoscope this morning " ::epic chase follows:::

  • lool he just took the car out and he already crashed it XD several times

  • 13 prius owners watched this video

  • The producers of the original Gone in 60 seconds, should put it up on Hula or Crackle. i have never seen the full movie, and only watched clips on You Tube.

    Jose F. Medeiros :-)

  • there was a second guy in the mustang with him at the end... did anyone else see that???

  • Try this with a prius and movie would be called ''cought in 60 seconds''!

  • @morrismagic08

How about, "Toyota Prius: Can't Go 60 MPH"

  • Not even worth stealing after its all smashed up

  • this is what car heaven is all about.......

  • to bad they dont make car chases like this anymore

  • i AM crying watching this to see sutch a beautiful car destroyed before my eyes :(

  • Lady with the umbrella=best part of the movie

  • Pretty damn good chase. Doesn't outdo Bullet, though.

  • Makes me want to play Need For Speed "Most Wanted !

  • @kbdevo1962 And i've got that game! ;-)

  • Almost the WHOLE movie is a car chase ! This beats the crap out of any other car chase I have seen . Though I do love the New Elanor from the remake . If you ever get a chance to see the making of this movie do so . You will be surprised at some of the stuff that happened ,That was not supposed to happen.

  • we have a car theft in lincoln park he's climin in your garages snachen all yo muscle cars up so hide yo fords hide yo dodges and hide yo chevys cuz hes stealin all muscle cars out here!

  • Chuck Norris would have stopped him....with a roundhouse kick

  • @zibbledy yeah......with a BB gun...haha

  • Starsky and Hutch would have caught him.

  • Lol there were always cardboard boxes on the streets in the 70s.

  • Mustangs are beast...

  • gone in 60 sec...the fukin car is tottled,,ya,,gone not worth shit,,..?

  • They destroyed a lot of dream cars :(

  • @Batner112 I agree with you. But 1 thing - It shows how well the beasts were built and they were brand new then and noone cared. To them it was like trashing a honda civic.

  • 06:05 hahahaha the granny with the rain umbrella is great xD

  • This is not "Part 1" of the movie. You suck.

  • @TheIntruders buy the movie quit stealing them online then maybe you'd know this was the chase scene

  • @kilog55

How about I steal your testicles and use them as dice?

  • @TheIntruders sorry im not gay

  • @kilog55

So you're saying gay people remove each other's testicles and use them as dice? Wouldn't that destroy their sex drive and render them passive unicks?

  • @TheIntruders no it wouldnt, neutered dogs still hump

  • lulz at the lady hitting the cars with her umbrella XD

  • This mustang loos shitty. Im not dissing mustangs im dissing the year of this make of mustangs I LOVE the rest of them except the 2001 and 95

  • Whoa - whoever prepped these cars for this scene didn't pay much attention to the suspensions - these cars wallow like whales.

  • That mustang isn't a car its a boat! Damn.

  • Gone is 60 seconds (circa 1974) Bullit and Vanishing Point are cult classic car guy movies along with Dirty Mary Crazy Larry alltho i WILL admit the Vanishing Point remake in 97 wasn't bad. storyline was changed from a driver hopped up on drugs to a guy trying to get home to his dying wife giving birth to his daughter but that was just to make it more family friendly... still was good

  • Those cars handle like greased up whales with elephants riding on their backs

  • Back when cars didn't crumple if they got hit....

  • not part one of the move part one of the car chase at the END of the movie

  • I don't like the new soundtrack.

  • try and do any of this today an the car will fall apart or air bag will go off or fuel pump safety switch ,, thats why there is never any mustangs gone in 60 seconds///

  • wow seriousley dramtic change from the old cop cars to modern lol

  • WTF???? alarm system in the 70s?......COOL!!!!!!

  • i just have to say that the 71 was the year mustang went bad

  • "Should have read my horoscope this morning."

    Lol.

  • nothing can compare with these great cars and actors...........the cars get crashed alot of times and they keep going. todays cars are made of plastic thats why movies cant have the same driving action as before.....love this movie a lot!!!!!

  • @13bREmazda try not crush with that suspention!!!

  • @13bREmazda Think about what you typed here, cars in 1974 were better then now in 2011. Really, you're serious? If you drove that mustang and then a new base model mustang even, you would reconsider that thought pretty quickly. In no way, shape, or form do cars in the 70's compete with current cars except with looks and engine sounds in some cases like Challengers and GTO's pre 1971.

  • HOT DANG !!! Look at just any car in this clip. They are oh so beautifully designed, so unlike today's aerodynamic nonsense we see on the roads these days.

Wish they would make them older cars again.

  • guess scratchin the paint wasnt an issue in this one. lol.

  • @yoshimura41891 ahhh thatll buff right out lol

  • if you pause it at 5:13 and look to the far right, there is another mustang exactly like it parked. if i were the guy who stole the mustang, i would have been like damnit! lol

  • gone in 60 second with nicolas cages is the best! The driver in this one don't know how to drive

  • @190nine

    You're a fucking moron.

This is REAL stunt driving and no camera tricks.

The piece of shit remake CHEATS with a a lot of cgi shots and fast editing. If you honestly think that a 67 Mustang can fly for half a mile straight in the air and land in one piece you're either a troll or complete FOOL.

Much of the "driving" in the remakes was GREEN SCREEN cheating.

    You clown.

  • @McLarenMercedes your wrong, do your research, nicholas cage took months of stunt driving classes so he could bring realism to the movie, the only part that was computer generated was the bridge jump

  • @aus13579 So thats how he could make a gt 500 fly

  • @190nine Incompetent fool, this guy does his own stunts. You try driving at over 100mph while being chased by the police..

  • @190nine Dude. Are you that dense? Nicholas Cage didn't do any of the stunts in the remake. They were Computer generated.

  • AWSOME VIDEO. GONE IN 60 SECONDS OWNS :-)

  • the mustang driver, seeing the cops... a copy of bullit when mcqueen climbs on his mustang and see the charger...

  • American Muscle

  • Comment removed

  • why they don't make chases like that in modern movies? wtf is wrong they put all their budgets into CGI today shame!

  • RIP H.B. Halicki

  • Have the original on VHS, so sad they "remaid" it.

  • 5am is not late at nite its early morning

  • Cool movie this and bullit long serious chase scenes both fords i want to see one from this era with a camaro or big block chevelle

  • @MiddleMadMen

And anyone other than you would care why?

  • If im not correct the guy in the yellow car actually performed all his own stunts and nothing was staged so when he hit a car he actually hit it.

  • ATTENTION!!!! i got this car on gta san andreas :D

    along with

    training days monte carlo

    vanishing points challenger

    general lee

    K.I.T Knight Rider

    Bull Dog mack Convoy

    Bullit mustang and charger :D

and smokey and the bandit kenworth and transam :D

  • ATTENTION!!!! i got this car on gta san andreas :D

  • At 3:55 The move of the mustang is like DEFINITION OF STYLE!

  • Man, thats a REAL movie! Great Sound

  • Those poor '70 Coronets. Those were beautiful cars! The sedans especially.

  • 5:11 theres another elanore right side of screen hahaha

  • The only thing I wish were different is that Halicki likes crashes too much! I can't believe he crashed Eleanor 20 seconds into the chase!

  • @greg5566 I think his name is Hickman....Bill Hickman

  • @68bobba No, they're different guys. Hickman is the square-faced guy that looks like a cop from Dragnet. In French Connection, he's the one that asks Popeye about the gun he has strapped to his ankle. He's the one that chased Steve McQueen in Bullitt, that fastened his seatbelt before taking off. The guy that made Gone in 60 Seconds is a different guy, H.B. Halicki.

  • @greg5566 gene hackman

  • @bobo007xx Gene Hackman what?

  • Maindrian's mustache changes several times during the whole chase :P

  • i can't believe how much he trashes that mach 1, yikes man

  • ahahah i thiking right nou about DRIVER 1+2 the game hahahah

  • wait so the one I saw was a remake? damn i didn't know that!

  • arrgh the moustaches!!

  • Just an FYI... This is just the end of the movie... There is a lot misssing, the chop shop scenes, the opening scene where he has 5 pairs of sunglasses on the dash, one for every occasion... showing the tools of the trade and how they are used (funky screwdrivers and such.. all those tools are useless now lol) and the big airport car heist... they even had a fake water heater to keep records in LMAO!!

  • green AMC javelin @6:39 = <3 ! :)

  • that old lady and her umbrella too funny

  • 3.52 the Bad Finger

5.31 a part of the intro song of the Movie "Cyborg" from 1989....but very silent

  • 3.52 the Bad Finger

  • This movie is famous for wrecking 93 cars in a 34 minute car chase!!

  • They showed this on SPEED channel late one night at like 5 am, Other than that you don't see it. It is a great film and the chase makes the remake look like child's play. "Should have read my horoscope this morning!!"

  • Did anyone notice the 1968 Galaxie morph into the 1972 Montego? Ford's rock!

  • The car is not a BOSS 351 or even a Mach 1, it's a plain 73 fastback with stripes, still a nice car though. The driver/producer was a real stunt driver and did all the driving himself. His wife/widow ( he's dead now)) still owns the car and it's still in the same condition you see it in at the end of the movie. It was very low budget film, shot in real time, with real cops, real mayor, real everyone and everything, mostly volunteers. It was his dream to make the ultimate car chase movie.

  • damn thats a boss 351? i think... one hell of a car

  • @BLAYDZ99 nope 1973 mustang mach 1

  • @richie2259 Only theoretically. It was a 1973 mustang 351 cleveland, painted to look like a 1971 mach 1, which was the car it was suposed to be. So in the film, the car "acts" as a '71 mach 1, but it's a 351 fastback.

  • @machone7I ahhhhhhhhhhhhh yea yea yea now i remember thank you for that i wrote that last comment but felt stupid for some reason

  • @machone7I Yeah I was wondering about that. Flat hood kinda gave it away with me. I have a 71 Mach..

  • Old Cars Rock !!!

  • Why isn't this shown on cable? This film is the fucking balls.

  • My fav car chase after the one from Bullitt!

  • i aim to please.... :)

  • nice car chase, But I like Vanishing point, Bullitt, and It's a mad mad mad mad world better. I have them saved as in my favorites

  • Mach 1!

  • i dont understand why we cant make real car chases like this. if their worried about safety, they should put shit in the car to protect the driver and then use cgi to edit THAT out, everything else would be real

  • @skateNappreciate because people don't "make" real car chases. Real car chases just happen. If youre talking about movie chases, thats exactly what they alreayd do, moron.

  • This movie is way better than the new one

  • i have the new and the oringinal version..i like the oringinal better..thanks for posting the vid's of it!!!

  • Mustang BOSS:) fucking great car!

  • i am 15 and i am from greece.i am born at the wrong place and at the wrong time.my dream is america of 1960-1970

  • when was this movie made?

  • @8150rpm 1974

  • lol Grandma you should of been happy to see such a beautiful Mustang! they dont make them like they used to anymore, That was real power.

  • HEY!!! Like this comment if you have a mach1 one or want one....p.s. i have a 71 mach1

  • @THExATOMICxBOOM that is like saying "like this comment if you are on youtube

  • @THExATOMICxBOOM The car in the movie is actually just a 1973 fastback. It's not a Mach 1.

  • @scdevon yeah I noticed that after i commented...it's lacking all of the mach one markings and nasa hood, but it is still basically the same body style

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @THExATOMICxBOOM i wanna paint the hood of my fox body like a 71 mach 1 since i am getting a mach1 hood for it

  • @94delsolvtec Nice....my hood isn't actually the original paint though, it has skunk stripes which really seem to make it stand out

  • @THExATOMICxBOOM im getting a 72 fast back :D needs restored im 16 going into the Army FUCK YEAH

  • @MiddleMadMen nice...mine needs a little body work, but other than that, it runs great and looks great too

  • @THExATOMICxBOOM

    p.s., You're a liar. You drive a Subaru.

  • HEY!!! Like this comment if you have a mach1 one or want one....p.s. i have a 71 mach1

  • BIG MOTORS BIG CARS ALL STEEL LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • I'm 13 and i love these old movies 20000000 times more than recent movies

  • 6:08 old lady got interrupted from her nap

  • 79 cents for gas.

  • Hes not giving a fuck about that poor old car!!!

i like the part where he said.... i should have read my horoscope today... lol

  • That Mustang is absolutely lovely; they sure don't make cars like that anymore. I love the handlebar mustache too!

  • That Mustang is absolutely lovely; they sure don't make cars like that anymore.

  • I am not a big fan of Fords or Mustangs in particular but the second I heard the note of this things engine it stole my heart! I fucken love the sound man.

  • lol police are always a day late and a dollar short...what were they waiting on were they finishing their jelly donuts while he disarmed the alarm and put the hood down and the hood pins in...

  • i cant belive all this where real, the stunts where

  • Hey ummm there is MORE to the movie BEFORE all of this, right? Either way thanks for putting it up, this was my first time watching this and I gotta have this movie now.

  • I loves me some vintage 70's cars, but damn, they drive as bad as I do on any GTA game...hittin' e'ry thang. Can't help but think that part @ 5:32 wasn't quite part of the plan. @ 6:08, that's some wicked old lady wrist action there...she managed to nail both cars...and am I the only one having Beastie Boys "Sabotage" flashbacks with this?

  • this is such a cool and realistic car chase ! what a classic

  • NICE job mKe!! The best!

  • i love how he fucks the car up in the first 2 seconds of the chase lmao

  • where the fuck did they learn to drive ( if they did)

  • Ive been told and have confirmed the same thing. Wrong generation,

  • i've got this on VHS. Saw it on sale and had to have it =)

  • Nick cage was better and the car was better the one they use is so ugly its a shame they even made that model

  • @5isalive09 But, that version wouldn't excist if it were for the actual movie. :|

  • cops were idiots from the 70's well through the 80's

  • favorite movie, love how they crash them over and over and over and they still run good, unlike todays cars

  • damn that mustang had to be durable to be doin all that! they only used one car right?

  • @driftkidd94 a friend of mine told me they used alot...

  • @DuvalVideo they could have, irdk...but the documentary showed eleanor...she looks BAD, REALLY BAD

  • @driftkidd94 actually after i replied i went and looked it up and if i remember right they did say they used only one...that seems pretty crazy the way they were bangin that bitch up though

  • @rahulravi9 lol....yeah ok.....

fast and the furious might be ok for idiot ricers who don't know what REAL cars are.

  • @TroutButter you don't tell me what real cars and real racing.........you even don't know the spelling of racers

  • @rahulravi9 ricer means its a shitty japanese car stupid

  • @imkindatheshizNITE I thought it ment a crummy car with more money put into cosmetics. Theres river Cavaliers and Neons too.

  • 1:23 this car is close to the same year as mine also mine is a different model of mustang than this one. just as cool though!

  • Hey damaged Eleanor.

THERE IS NEVER AN EXCUSE FOR THAT BEHAVIOR.
