@sheep740 I don't know how much this guy is offering, but I'll gladly give you $2800 for it if it's in the condition it seems to be in from the vid...
Well, the two modes are still tied to the master/gain/EQ controls so... that still won't get you flexibility on a level practical to a 'live' setting. In studio, sure.
Also, there's wayyy more in play when it comes to the IIC+ than a preamp tweak. Most of it can be attributed to transformers which are sadly no longer made. Almost makes you wanna get a MK III with a 105 tranny and scrap it for that component, heh.
I'm sorry dude This thing is So much better than a triple..I owned a dual for alittle while and it was WAY to fizzy and buzzy for me.. the head room on this amp in insane.. it just gets louder and louder and louder..it cuts thought anything if it had to but can sound as fat and thumpy as a recto just much more cleaner and clear!
thought a quad and you have the best tone for any type of music you want..
Dude....This thing = WAY BETTER THAN TRIPLE REC. The rec has more power because it has like 6 fucking power tubes and 150 watts. but this thing trumps it in almost every aspect.
You realize Metallica recorded 'Puppets with Mk IIC+'s slaved into Marshall power amps...this isn't meant to be a representation of this amp's metal capabilities, just a guess.
@RNRDOLL I believe he did. I though Kirk used the IIC+ on the Lightning leads, too. I know James used a JMP with a Tube Screamer in front on that album. Kirk could plug his guitar into Jimi Hendrix's asshole and still make it sound bad, though. I love his solos, but he manages to get a bad tone out of everything he uses on records.
yea dude, uh, this amp sounds about 3 million times better than your triple rectifier. And power is not necessarily measured by how much wattage is put out, i have a 50 watt dc-5 and it sounds louder than my friends modded stiletto deuce. At first we thought something was wrong with his amp, turns out my tone just cut straight through his amps tone. Don't just go by how much power an amp can put out.
Great Playing! Sounds awesome

well it all depends on style, im more of a metal guitarist so i like the rec better, but for a rock player this is better.
