@Tish0eXtreme Actually there's two WiFi cards for laptops (which you can also use on desktops with an adapter), on is the Broadcom versio and the other is the best one of all... the Atheros AR5008-3NX with Xpan technology and its fully Throughput, at Windows 7 its native 300mbs. The Broadcom has 2 antenna cable wires and the Atheros has 3 which is fully WiFi-N and has way better range in grabbing WiFi signals.

Both are Native to Snow Leopard but the Broadcom card becomes a third party vender card and loses its Airport Extreme category. But the Atheros AR5008E-3NX becomes a true Apple vender and keeps its Airport Extreme category and fully functional settings for WiFi-N... Only $13-$15 on ebay, worth every dollar... The Atheros is super fast on both Snow Leopard and Windows 7!

you must mount the image of a hackintosh (i prefer iDeneb) and then go to the bios of your AAO and go to "boot device priority". Here you mus set a first place the external HDD and then you can boot from it ;) i did this on my AAO D250 an it works very well ! (but i burned the image on a dvd

THANX....i followed what u said but....well let me explain.. well i downloaded the image to my iMac i downloaded 2 distribution (xxx and iDeneb) ...just bought an 8gb usb drive.....

formatted it to Mac Journaled format....used the "restore" function in the disk utility to put iDeneb ISO to the USB...

installed and ran OSX86Tools... and "installed PC EFI"

and tried it on my netbook... but it won't boot instead it boots from my hard drive ...stupid Jolicloud keeps booting!!! helpp

If you haven't solved it yet, i think i can help. I have and AAO a150. I downloaded ideneb v1.4. I had to burn it to a dvd (not just copy and paste) then boot from an external dvd drive. To install, you might have to do some messing around with HDD partitions, some stuff in terminal and change some settings in install options before you actually install. Don't forget that you must have an empty formatted partition before you can install. And when you boot, type "-x" for safe mode :)

atheros wifi can work:

1- delete a file extensions.mkext or something like that (system/library)

2.- reinstall io80211kext with kext helper (airport update)

3.- repair permissons

4.- restart

5.- open "kismac" and activate "airport extreme passive mode" and search a wifi networks, when u found one, close kismac and search it again with airport utility

6.- enjoy

yup..i can confirm that this works..have been using this for a couple of months..but is thr any other kext...just curious... kismac is not a problem..its just its works smtimes ..i have to keep restarting and trying..until kismac shows networks :(
