  • Suitcase feeders rock, and the CC option lets a competent (hint, PRACTICE!) weldor run them off DC sources such as stick welder power sources.

    You can also easily run from a conventional MIG welding machine. (Remove the MIG wire from the MIG, connect the feeder, jump the MIG machine gun trigger contacts with a toggle switch on a cable, then your output cables to the suitcase feeder will be hot and controlled by the feeder contactor.)

    Download manuals and do your homework of course.

  • I have it setup with a trailblazer 302, it's an awesome setup for structural steel. Only thing: I need another set of machines so two guys can weld simultaneously.

  • what kind of power supply does it need. I see there is only one thick power wire with a extrange connector. any answer is appreciated.

    230 V: 18 A, 60 Hz

    115 V: 20 A, 60 Hz

  • Not a pro welder, but I do lots of frabricating so I bought a12vs with gas bottle for my home shop. I power it off an old Trailblazer welder / generator --- I love it!! Great machine!
