Awww... This special was bittersweet for me, Thanks for posting it! It's sad to see where the show is today... It used to be great. I still can't watch the Robin/Stone storyline without having a tissue nearby and Sonny/Brenda have always made my heart race! Thanks for the stroll down memory lane;)
This was a great special. Thank you sooo sooo much for posting it. Brought back a lot of good memories. So nice to see GH and remember the good days and be reminded why we fell in love with this show. So many great story lines, characters and actors through the years. Just incredible. I wish GH was still like that. And the song Brad Maule sang at the end. LOVE it! I wish I could find the full version. I saw it once a few years ago on here somewhere and can't find it since :(
It's really sad to see how awful this show has become. I seriously got choked up just watching that montage. These were really the glory days of the show. When the plots made sense, the characters were actually interesting and "history" and "veteran" weren't dirty words. The honestly don't know how the people currently in charge look in the mirror and convince themselves they're doing a good job producing/writing this show.
Kissn scenes are a waste of time and I always have my hand on the skip fw key for those scenes! Get on the with the real stuff like WSB scenes and mob murder scenes! Luke Spencer must be dealt with immediately! One of my favorite Cassidine lines!
Gee I was hoping to see more of the clips from the earliest GH when It had Steve and Audrey, Jess, Lucille(audreys older sister) Peter who was a recovering alcoholic, and his son Scotty as a kid.
its a shame that gh is no longer about the core families and true characters are the foundation of the show. the gh i started watching in 1996 no longer exists. the mob is the foundation now and the core families are an after thought. its strange that the mob worked in the 90's but gh's integrity remained intact. i wonder why that changed in the 21st century. i miss the old characters like lucy and kevin, scott, bobby, etc. i wish they could go back to balancing the mob and the other families.
Its so ironic to hear that messege from Geary about why people fell in love with this show. The characters we all relate to and the writing that gave them depth. And to look at how pathetic the show is now. They certainly have gotten away from that premise. Very sad.
This was a very well done special on GH. I wish they would have done a segment on "Elizabeth's rape". That was such a serious and emotional tragedy that was so dramatic and REAL! The storyline ranked right up there with "Stone's AIDS".
it seemed like the rape sl was still ongoing at the time of the special which is why it wasn't covered in the special. i was hoping to see it too. the 50th anniversary if we get there should be a 2 hr special cuz there would be so much to cover.
only thing missing from this was a few fan reactions to sl's over time. that would be funny to see.
@Helena200406 You know what's scary? Guza was head writer during this time and and created the great Sonny/Brenda/Jax triangle. I don't know what the hell went wrong but he lost his mind somewhere over the years.
Thanks for posting these clips. I have to say I'm upset that they didn't talk about Jason's accident, the Quartermaine's adopting Emily, anything about Alexis or Lucky and Elizabeth's relationship. (which was my favorite teenage love story) But, still a beautiful tribute!
What a legacy. Too bad Frons/Phelps/Guza completely trashed it.

It all went down from here, some good moments but not at that level hopefully it'll climb back. Sad about the Quartermaine's.

like is said. 80's and 90's GH was the best. heartbreaking storyline.
now it's all about guns and mobs.
Guza needs to watch all the old GH and learn to write better storylines.

It's a shame what's happened to GH. It used to be so good. So real. Now it's just a bad parody of what it was.

Unfortunately JFP doesn't think GH existed untill she arrived.

I can't stand that woman. Can't STAND her! She has sh** for brains. They need to bring back Wendy Riche and give JFP and Guza the boot.

@Helena200406 They're too busy patting each other on the back and fooling themselves into thinking that the show is HOT.
