Watching this again. The push at 30 minute mark went awry for sure. Med/Hw/Demo pushed in left, Soldier and the rest were supposed to push right. But for some reason the right push only ended up being Tiger/Metsada. So I was going to meet up with them. Either there was no call that they had to fall back, or I didnt hear it. The reason why they didn't destroy the teleporter was probably this:

If they had destroyed it, the enemy team would have been forced to cross the first point to reach the second last one where all the action was going on right there. But since they let it stay, some of the enemies would maybe have gotten "fooled" into taking it, thus getting behind the second last point and making red team have less enemies to fight at the last point.

Something I've noticed about competitive spies is that they're too impatient. Risk doesn't reward with the spy, many a time I've seen them make wild stabs that miss and so they almost always instantly die.

@WillyDotTurnip In competitive play the spy usually isn't played, with the exception of Highlander of course.

Their function in this case is just to cause disruption rather than to stack up backstabs.

@Melohalo It's a shame for highlander because once I got 30 points (12 kills) on a full Gullywash server with the Dead Ringer and the Saharan Spy kit in one life and I don't even consider myself a pro! That wasn't even luck, I've got similar points before. I'd like to see more spies using the Your Eternal Reward and it's silent kill (and yes I know enemy players would tell their team your disguise via team-speak but the silent kill lets you kill someone next in line get away or in time anyway).

kritzkrieg is the best medigun in highlander for sure, just look at how it changes the game for exodus. Putting players into respawn is much more important than protecting one or two.

This is why TF2 isnt big in the compeditive scene, It's too rare to see people actually killing other in nice ways, the camera is always like from above, so you cant really see someone doing somthing good and in most cases, you just say that people've died in good ways, we rarely see it.

by doing so, inderective tf2 doesnt support good skilled plays, more just getting the kills
