Where I live, everyone has kids or wants to have them, & dating is a real pain in the ass. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack to find a man here who's not a single dad, & when you find one, the first thing he tells you is, "I want kids some day." People are constantly asking me what's wrong with me, as if I'm less of a woman because I haven't used my womb for its "intended" purpose. I would like to get married, but my childfree stance has made me "unmarketable," which really hurts.
I don't understand how people see the CF life as selfish. This world is shit, why bring more people into it? God knows what the future will bring in terms of illnesses and poverty. If anything being CF is an awesome choice. Plus, parenthood isn't that great. The majority of parents, when arguing about this, seem to try to convince themselves more than anything that they didn't fuck up their lives. I always remember my friend, she had no life and was stuck in a shitty relationship all because
@MusicalVickyGirl1902 she had a kid. Every parent that I have know have always told me " Don't have children!!!" I'm 21 and glad to be able to sleep til' noon, spend all my money on sushi and listen to Bach rather than a crying brat.
i dont get why people are surprised and shocked at this. so what if they don't want kids, everyone's entitled to live their life the way they want. some people just want to travel and enjoy their own lives, if other people want kids so bad then go have em and shut up there are too many people on this planet anyway
So you don't have kids.... this does NOT make you any better than people with kids... just like people with kids are NOT any better than people with no kids. Oh and BTW humans may be evil.. but it does not mean we should disappear. I CHOOSE to get pregnant later in life, just like you CHOOSE not to
Im just going to have 1 child it's not as bad with 1 kid ...but western society is not family valued...you go to different countries and you will see the kids taking care of their mothers and fathers
Everyone should have a dog. I have a dog and I love that dog with all my heart. If you don't have a dog, then you are a selfish person. Why do so many people hate dogs? Having a dog makes me happy so you can't be happy unless you have a dog. For everyone out there that didn't pick up on this, it's scarcasm, used to demonstrate how silly it is to hold people to your own personal standards of living.
@XxGlitterfullxX: Not wanting children does not automatically mean that you see them as a burden. Some people just have a lifestyle that is not ideal for a child. Also, I'm a single woman who lives alone. I am never lonely. If I want to see people, I invite friends and/or family over, or just talk on the phone with them. I am a very private person by nature, and I enjoy being alone sometimes. Something that I could not do if I had a child.
I think that the choice to have children varies from couple to couple... one can't categorize and say that generally it's good to have children or generally it's not good. It all depends on the couple: whether they feel they will be able to support dependants, their environment, their jobs, their own relationship, how the children will affect their lives...it's their choice
Whatever you may think of this topic it's your opinion and should remain your opinion: don't try and enforce it on others.
My wife and I have a daughter. We are all FOR childfree couples! Its up to you to decide if you want kids or not. And if you don't want kids, you shouldn't be ripped for it. We get ripped because we have ONE! Smh...
Praise to those women who chose not to have children & shame on those who chose to do so. One billion will die due to lack of food, water & shelter. It is selfish to have children and take away from limited resources. You will feed your child at the cost of life to another. Selfish. You have children so they will take care of you in your old age? Selfish "Children complete me." Selfish.
@tbird54100 Almost every person on the planet is selfish. I know of very few people who have completely altruistic reasons for remaining childfree or for having children. Parents and non parents alike make their choice because it suits their own life. It would be sanctimonious (and probably a lie) to suggest otherwise.
The whole argument makes no sense when both sides are equally self involved.
@tbird54100 feeding someone at the cost of NOT feeding another? You are such a RETARD! Yes, maybe having kids is selfish, but DON'T say that it's selfish to take natural resources away from others. YOU DO THE SAME THING EVERYTIME YOU EAT, DRINK or BREATHE. So if you want to label parents selfish for that matter, you ought to label YOURSELF as that for taking resources away from others. The exact same way YOUR PARENTS did when they raised YOU!
@tbird54100 Okay Okay... so less children means we will use our surplus to feed other people.... No for economic reasons we will either burn or store the food. How do I know this.... IT'S Happening..... Starvation is about greed... not overpopulation
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
CF are selfish, childish grown-ups who want to live for themselves. There's no good about it and soon there will be only Chinese and Arabs in the world
@schneke1 What boggles my mind is the way that people will say "stop forcing your views on me and making assumptions!" and then in the same breath, they'll do the exact same thing. My opinion: people on both sides really need to grow the fuck up.
Kids or not we all have a financial strain. Nice to know you all think kids are born to be perfect!! Sorry but what kind of life will you be living without kids hmmmm I guess going out every night to drink or hang out with the wrong crowd possible get in trouble yea sounds like some fun times. When I see older people going out all I can think is he'll they never grew up!!! And yes it's selfish that you would rather live life the way you want it and not want to give a child of your own a life of
@XxGlitterfulxX My god, shut up. Some people want to travel to other countries or start businesses, experience things you can't with kids. You can enjoy your kids, that's fine, but not everyone in the world want one. There's nothing selfish about not having kids. People rather not have kids they can not afford.
There's people who just don't think they'll be good parents, so get your dumb head out of your ass, dear and grow up.
@shadicparadox actually i know lots of families that have businesses, have lived all over the world and travelled extensively. Kids don't change that for lots of people. : )
@TheDharmawheel The average person doesn't have the type of money that let's them live privileged lives abroad. I wish people would stop pretending like kids aren't don't hold people back financially. There is a very select group that are able to afford to be globetrotters and parents at the same time. You may know "lots" of people, but they are in no way a representation of the average person.
@MissMidoria we may not be the "average" person but we certainly exist and we are the people that think logically about having kids before we have them and see that we can have both things. I realise i am in a privileged position and so are many people i know and that others don't have the same luxuries though. I don't think i'm "pretending" anything, i'm simply pointing out that there are people for whom financial issues don't come into whether we have kids or not.
Why do people look at kids as burdens. They are blessings from above and they give great joy to my husband and I our marriage is stronger cause we have a beautiful family we made and we still get our time together and we love spending time as a family. It's lonely when you don't have kids they bring a lot of joy to a persons life
@XxGlitterfulxX There is enough unwanted children in the world, what's is the point in adding more? And also, there are lots of children born into abusive homes. I'm quit sure those poor kids don't have happy lives. The CF know what they want ahead of time and what they don't want is children.
@XxGlitterfulxX You can be just as lonely WITH kids. Personally, I'd rather have friends and a partner that I can be around when I want, and then go home when I want to be alone.
@arohaanahera1 If starving, impoverished people weren't here in the first place they wouldn't be starving, would they??? There is only one answer this question and thats why you refuse to answer it, it disproves all your nonsense.
I find identifying the dumb as such quite logical.
seems to me that if any of you were as happy and fulfilled with your choices as you claim then you wouldn't be on youtube arguing about it. Live and let live. peace.
@arohaanahera1 Your post here is so senseless I can't even respond beyond pointing out the obvious, again.. If starving, impoverished people weren't here in the first place they wouldn't be starving, would they? Can you think of any reason why they wouldn't be here? How about if maybe people controlled their reproduction and only reproduced based on the available resources at the time?
Nah, just breed em! It must be the fault of the wealthy, or farmers people are starving...
@arohaanahera1NO stupid, seriously! If a person did not exist then that person would not be starving would they? At no point in the history of the world have people "internationally" fed the world (your new word), or EVER will. However many cultures have reduced their reproduction and hence reduced poverty and starvation.
Sorry, your an idiot. Maybe you should get a tubal.
@arohaanahera1 But nobody cares what you think.. And who's angry? schneke (you)? Pointing out the obvious is rational and if stupid people have kids they cant afford they should be criticized. Women should be embarrassed their so damn predictable!
@schneke1"Forget about kids!" and you're telling people they should have kids in a screwed up world.
You're a coward who can't own your own feelings and beliefs that you regret having kids. There's no reasoning with a person who can't even be honest with themselves.
See how stupid you sound?
Stick with diapers, your amateur psychology is worse than your backwards logic, besides you know I'm right! XD
Oooh I want baby cause baby cute! I made baby and got what I wanted!
Oooh I want sex because I have urge! Ooops I made baby..And again...again. again..again.
Uhhh! You don't have baby like me? Oh you selfish child free bastards!
I made baby, see, I'm freakin' unselfish hero because I got what I wanted, I'm a candidate for sainthood because I had sex and made baby,, accidentally... See how unselfish I am? Not like you, you selfish, uncaring chid free pigs!
@embracingreality I'm not going to have a kid... WHY? because I hate everyone. I rather live in a forest then with people. You see I am Superior.. Why? because I am choosing to preserve the earth and constantly tell people that do have children or want children how horrible and stupid they are. (I actually WANT kids in 10 years and I don't care if someone doesn't want kids..)
@ChristinaWolfle Oh dear, you seem very confused. No one is trying to stop people from having children they can actually care for. Some of us do however get tired of watching stupid people's kids starve to death or live in poverty. We get tired of having our tax dollars forcibly taken to pay for broke ass losers who can't have sex without making another baby they can't afford. Mostly we get tired of the same people patting themselves on the back like they're heros for accidentally making a baby.
@schneke1 I've already pointed out that the western world DID have a starvation problem as a result of poverty and we still have poverty. Starvation is rare now because WE HAVE reduced the population, THATS WHY! Third world countries are over populated. That doesn't mean no person should ever breed, nor did I ever say that! But if the US bred like the third world we would have starvation!
For examples of those who regret breeding search "regret having kids" for yourself.
@schneke1 In her well published book "Little White Lies, Deep Dark Secrets: The Truth About Why Women Lie" (see amazon) Susan Barash found that of women she surveyed 50% admitted to lying about their happiness as a mother. Search the internet "happiness not having children" and you'll find that it's MANY parents. You get educated!
WHERE did I say "people shouldn't have kids"? Quote me, liar.
Overpopulation, starvation, my tax dollars are ALL good reasons why stupid people shouldn't breed, you.
@schneke1 So if "distribution" was not in reference to people with food (who live in the world..) distributing it to those in other parts of the world who don't have food, hence going to come together, WHAT, then genius was your term "distribution" in reference to??? Does food "distribute" itself on the wind?
You presume yourself bright? You better go change a diaper or something your capable of doing properly.
@schneke1 I didn't realize you were so simple you didn't know why people starve, it's poverty dear.
People DID commonly starve in this country and throughout the western world only decades ago! What happened? The population growth declined. You didn't know that the population growth in the west has declined to the point that it has actually stopped and is even shrinking? Poverty is a huge problem= people having kids they can't afford because their stupid. Contraception has been the solution.
@schneke1 Yes dear, starvation IS about overpopulation. The notion that somehow the whole world is going to join forces and distribute all their food and resources evenly to whoever wants it is likely the most simple minded concept you've come up with. How long would it take before the simple minded had 40 kids each all holding their hand out? EVEN IF that were to ever happen do you think it's smart to have kids, let them starve waiting on this magical utopia in the meantime? Can you think?
@schneke1 If your "friends" had the option of saying what they really think anonymously as I do you might find out a lot different. A LOT of us without kids are tired of our hard earned tax dollars being spend on other peoples kids because their screw up parents can't take care of them or figure out how to have sex without making a baby every third time. Were tired of watching their kids starve to death because their so stupid they don't know where babies come from apparently. You have no idea..
@schneke1 My initial post (that you responded to) was that many parents regret their choice to have children. I GOT THAT FROM THEM, THEY SAID IT!!! You on the other hand try to manipulate my comment into me saying people shouldn't have kids. I didn't say that, your a manipulator. I pointed out why people should at least consider NOT having kids, or less kids as a result of the condition of the world.
@schneke1 You are the one who told ME that it wasn't that bad in the 1st place... if "arguing about it is pointless" since you know so much about childbirth/ labour pain (and think I don't), why did you tell me that nonsense in the first place? What happens to you has no effect on me whatsoever (or anyone), so next time you see a comment like that, don't talk crap like that.
@schneke1 Also, don't have that smug attitude as if a child free woman cannot know what taking care of a newborn is like... I do. And yes, I like still babies. It is difficult but I love babies (family).
Finally, I know that period pains are unbearable, so OBVIOUSLY childbirth and labour would be far worse...I am not IMAGINING. I KNOW. You have that nasty attitude that makes childless people have children ("you don't know until you try"). Like I told you, God gave me a brain and I use it.
@schneke1 What you said in the 1st sentence took the sense out of what you said after. You said it wasn't bad for you, then that some are really bad.. You said that people make it seem like it is some martyrdom event (when it IS), but yet you talk about how it wasn't that bad for you. I am certain that most women experience extreme pain than not. YOU are the one who told me it wasn't that bad, first - like if what happens to you matters or would be similar for me...
@schneke1 So those who don't breed "people like me" are why all those millions of children are born into starvation? I "feel better"? I can imagine what it's feels like to starve to death but next year millions more will be starving because the simple minded don't take any accountability for their careless reproduction. oh well. I'm just glad I won't have a stake in the future of this screwed up world, that will be your kids problem.
@schneke1 Maybe you should try looking around at the world at what is actually going on. Do you live in a bubble? Did you know thats its estimated that around 10 million children starve to death in the world every year? Statistically MOST pregnancies are not planned. Out of wedlock births in the US are nearly 40%. In the US it costs around $250,000 to raise one child to adulthood. Your amazed at the debate?
The simple mindedness of people is exactly why we have nearly out bred the planet.
@schneke1 Who's imagining? Are you not aware that many parents are actually miserable as a result of their exhaustive lives trying to care for more children than they are capable? Doesn't mean they hate the kids but many would do it differently if they had the option AND SAY SO!
It's those WITH kids who tell everybody who doesn't want any 'your selfish". Why do they care??? Jealousy, insecurity? I don't tell them to send their bratty kids back!
@schneke1 I know plenty of single childless WOMEN who might be envious but men? Any single childless man with a good job has a plethora of single mom's and ready-made families available to him in this society. I think you'll find thats a pretty damn short line...
And who's "criticizing choices"? Fact is most kid's are accidents but some of the dissatisfactions of parents, especially men, comes to me straight from the mouths of MARRIED MEN WITH KIDS! Many of whom don't recommend it!
@schneke1 It was not as bad as you thought FOR YOU. I see women CRY very badly. You don't scream and cry for "not as bad as I thought". There are people that suffered wayyy worse than you, and died. So for some it is a martyrdom event. I can assure you if I had, it would be exceedingly painful. I'm not stupid enough to volunteer for extreme, unbearable pain. And I like babies, so I don't see that as more torturous.
@KittySugarLips Nope, doesn't sound like torture. It IS TORTURE (at least childbirth is). I read about the worst pains to endure and childbirth was up there at number 8 - 9 out of 10 (10 being something like being disemboweled). Don't listen to anyone telling you to do this to your body. I don't lol.
peace to all the other child-free peeps! may you have long fun, exciting, and fulfilling lives free of stress and load up on tons of money 4 your big fat comfortable retirement!
Being child-free doesn't equate TO SELFISH it just means we have loads more time to devote SELFLESSLY to other important things: improving education, or other world problems we worry about.
Not having kids makes achieving your goals possible when you have no financial strain.
Nursing homes are literally filled with millions of elderly people (primarily old women) most of whom have children! Think about it! Are your kids going to quit their jobs or neglect their own kids to tend to you in your dotage? Hell no! They're going to dump you off at the home the first sign of dependency just like your parents did with granny...
Give up on the fairytales, save your money and buy a long term care insurance policy.
@embracingreality i'm going to have to disagree with you there. It really depends on how the kids were raised. I choose to be child free, but I grew up in a wonderful family. I can't imagine dumping my parents in a home. I would rather starve first. Yes, I was in that 0.01% that made it work somehow.
What I want to say is that we shouldn't be attacking those who are able to genuinely care for their childrens' emotional and physical well-being. They are just as much a minority as we are.
@batmanpronz How a person was "raised" by their parents will no doubt effect their decision when' to put a parent in a nursing home but so will their personal circumstances. An intense work schedule, several kids of their own, a strained marriage ect. Add to the equation the elderly parent may be suffering from dementia, Alzheimer's, incontinence, inability to walk or even feed themselves.... I'm not talking about an after school special I'm talking about the real world. Thats why we have homes.
Many married people are deeply envious of single people, especially husbands envious of single men (and their wives hate the freedom and privileges of single men too). Likewise many parents resent and envy couples without children even if only sub-conciously. Many parents regret their daily burdens but could never publicly acknowledge this because it's socially unacceptable to say so. Such sore losers will never change my mind to remain childfree and their misery only strengthens my resolve.
God bless these people. I feel the same way. I don't ever want to become a dad. I'm too selfish to put what I want first and live a life without that kind of hassle or responsibility.
hope child-free couples increase in the world. that's what our planet earth needs. kids are a lot more hassle than hollywood and advertising make out!
My husband and I have been together since December 1996 and have been married for a little over 11 years now. We didn't want kids back when we first started seeing each other and we don't want them now. We are just happy with it being just us and our little dog! I love our little family of 3, love the freedom that we have, that we are not struggling because we have no kids to provide for, and the most trouble we go through for the dog is taking him to the vet. Walks are cheaper than diapers!
Having kids takes a huge strain on your time, money and health because of stress. Besides pregnancy sounds like a terrible 9 months of discomfort and pain for a woman. I will never put a woman through all that. Everyone thinks it's weird that I just want to spend the rest of my life with the girl I love. Hopefully I find a childfree girl in the future. They seem to be a rare kind. I'm 17 and I may be too young to know what I want but I certainly know what I DON'T WANT. Childfree FTW
@elr456 Yeah, you could change your mind--but you may not. Most CF ppl knew at a very young age (before being a teen, even) that they didn't want kids. I knew when I was 11 (I'm now 33) The CF community is growing, and more ppl are admitting to not wanting children. You will find a woman who doesn't want kids, we're out there! Just stay patient, my friend, you have time:)
@tigerslilly29 That's what I've always thought. I can't see myself as a future father. I absolutely do not want the huge responsibilities that come with raising a child. I dislike children. I wish more girls would think like you. Our world is overpopulated enough. I also find it quite dumb that CF people are called selfish when people with kids bring a life into this world simply because they WANT to. It's great to know that there are more CF people everyday.
@elr456 The most selfish thing anybody can possibly ever do is have a child. CF ppl think about the future of children, breeders don't. Trust me, the CF community is growing. I belong to several CF pages/groups on FB. There are literally several million of ppl who are CF. We're starting to come out more. CF women are caring less about the stigma attached. Stay patient, you will find your CF girl--promise!
Wish me luck! If only more girls would think like you! I've known since 7 I don't want kids. People just don't understand that we don't want that burden. Instead many people tend think of CF people as: weird, gay, impotent, a slut or a guy who sleeps with whores, etc. Screw them. I actually want to enjoy my life with my future CF love with no kids. My family/ friends ridicule me for this since we're Hispanic and my people breed "because everyone does it". I find it quite disappointing really =(
@elr456 You do have a lot on your shoulders, especially being Hispanic. Just stick to your guns! NEVER let someone talk you into having kids if you don't want them. CF ppl have a lot to deal with from the haters, but it's still better than dealing with kids! You will find a CF woman out there. We're a growing community! If you have a FB, there's plenty of sites for us. You'll be fine! And good luck!
@VikingLady219 Yay for the CF! I knew when I was eleven. I've had to hear all the Bingo, "You'll want kids someday," "I said I didn't want any either, and now I have ten!" or whatever. I'm not changing my mind. I don't like to stay at one job for that long, lol.
@tigerslilly29 LOL when I was 11 I was the complete opposite. When I was 11 I but pillows under my shirt and pretended I was pregnant. But no... I will not have 10 kids
If it's in your sphere of taste, date older women. Once they reach a certain age, kids become less important to them over time and they're not under as much duress and pressure to have kids. Good luck! =]
@Mokurentate Some older women are very attractive but I want a girl my age who never wants kids. "Maybe wants kids" is a yes. I want one who says: "Never wanted them, not now, not ever because kids suck".
Someone in their 20's perhaps? Yeah. I'm 24 and never want kids, but ALL of my friends in the same age group are all baby crazy or fence sitters. None of them will declare childfreedom as their lifestyle, so I'm alone on this as well. :(
the male commentator is definitely not shy to show his disdain for the childfree. Well I hate to break it to all of you w/ children out there. Not everybody wants to share your misery haha. Overpopulation is a serious problem. To me the tragedy is that millions of children are born from unplanned pregnancies to loser parents but most of the intelligent, conscientous people that decide not to have children would probably make great parents!
@xgalactic FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!! FUCK YOU!!!! FUCK YOU!!!! FUCK YOU!!!! FUCK YOU!!!! FUCK YOU!!!! FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! Not because you don't want kids. Everyone can do as they please.. FUCK YOU BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT A CHILD FROM A BIPOLAR AND PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIC would be mentally ill... Well guess what... I'm healthy and normal and fine... but according to your eugenic opinions... you don't think I deserve to be born...
Hi Laura Carroll, author of Families of Two here--the GMA piece still holds and more so today...the research that the woman from Pew Research Center refers to on why couples get married has been added to since then re childfree couples report being happier--now parents will disagree, but only when they look at happiness in the larger context of parenthood overall. The day to day of it and how it impacts a marriage is a negative for lots of parents! Need to see more network pieces like this!
Dumbasses tend to have kids. Smart people preserve their intelligence, lets hope all the dumb people that reproduce kill each other off some irrational bs.
0:20 The lady just lied.......that is about the joking. It is sad that people will say anything to mislead others to adopt their way of life. They know that once they influence a person to become a parent, then they are done with it. Meantime, the person who took the wrong advice is stuck with an unwanted life.
Is there any reason people with kids (or who want kids someday, such as myself) can't just live their lives and let others live theirs? Same goes for people on the opposite side. I don't think of you as "childless" or "childfree": you're just people who, for some reason or another, don't want kids. No big deal, am I right?
@JayOleck When I wrote the comment I was doing "research" on the CF sites. I learned that as in all groups there are very misguided extremist who turn a respectful belief into something twisted. It's sad because these people are creating derogatory names for parents and racist-like cliches. Believing that all parents have the same experienceis ignorance. There is enough hate & saying I hate kids/parents is wrong like saying I hate Blacks, Jews, Gays. CF haven't met every parent/child.
@MilkshakeCowboy Absolutely agreed, my friend. I've met many people who have kids. They are good parents, their kids are (for the most part) well-behaved. I've also met many couples, including my best friend of 25 years, who don't have or want kids. Neither are any happier than the other, but every one of them are smart enough to realize that it's just a choice. I am sickened by people who have18, 19 kids, but I realize nothing I say will have any effect and I leave them the bloody frig alone.
@MilkshakeCowboy What are you talking about? The word "breeder"? We use that term because that is precisely what they are. They neglect to override their selfish genes and instincts and bring another life into this world, when there are ALREADY millions of children who need a home ALREADY present in existence. Its utterly selfish, not to mention they are acting like animals who have not yet learned to overcome their primal instincts, and thus, that is what we term them.
@LunarVegan If you really think that all parents are neglectful, selfish animals then you are blinded by your own convictions and you seem to have a prejudice attitude. There are no absolutes in this world and to vilify another group of people because they don't share your philosophy is ignorance. Being a parent whether you adopt or have biological children is not selfish. look at it like this, you not having kids leaves space for other folks to have their own. it's a win-win situation for all.
It kind of depresses me that this is newsworthy. It is my firm opinion that if less people had kids and thought about whether they were really suited to having children, it would be a much happier world, for the children and the adults in it. What is nice to hear is the increase in CF couples. It is good that people are beginning to recognise that it's a valid choice.
If having children is the ultimate experience of happiness, why do so many parents tell me never to have them? Nearly all of my friends who have children are burdened with endless levels of stress and a sense of disillusionment.
@TheGreaterGood80 I've been told by many parents to not have children. They're the few honest ones. Then you have the parents who are miserable who are trying to act like they're not even tho they obviously are and are upset the CF don't have crappy lives like them so they try to convince you to have kids.
@tigerslilly29 I love the reaction my girlfriend and I get when we tell people we don't want kids. They're shocked, and ask "Why? You don't want kids??" and when you ask them if it is the duty of every single person to reproduce, you'll notice they have nothing to say. Either way, I'm a proud uncle. I get to help raise and interact with my family's next generation without being tied down. And considering how crazy this xmas weekend was, I'm ready to pass my nieces and nephew back to my brother!
@TheGreaterGood80 Oh yeah, it's always, "Don't you like kids?" I only like them in spurts, for about five minutes. I like kids as long as they leave. I have two brothers who are also CF, so I don't get to play Auntie! But it's ok, because anyone with half a brain knows that there are shit loads of kids in the world. I know plenty of ppl with kids that I could play Tea with or something!
I decided to never have children in 1991 and I have no regrets.Anyone who has children ,trying or expecting, hooray for them. This is their choice.I just like others to respect my choice.
@tigerslilly29 A friend of mine actually used this argument to bingo me once. "You're so smart, if you have kids it'll help offset all the idiots". So clearly what I want doesn't matter, eh?
@VeryNeatMonsta That's like us CF ppl having kids to instill in them to stay CF. Smart ppl don't necessarily have smart kids, unfortunately. Ppl with kids will say the stupidest shit to try to make having kids seem like a good thing.
@tigerslilly29 Tell me about it...and the people who behave like this are the ones who make it evident by the very presence of them and their kids (because those who bingo are usually raising little helllions) that having kids is deffo NOT a good thing.
@societysucks1 I seriously hope your future children can spell better than you can. And FYI, I have heard very few unselfish reasons for having kids. "I have a burning desire for children" "It will make our marriage complete" "I want a child to raise" "I want something to love" "I want someone to care for me when I am old", these are ALL selfish reasons. Many people choose not to have children because of environmental, social or societal concerns. That is not selfish.
@VeryNeatMonsta I wish your parents had been environmental and not had you, hey though you ll have more time & money for yourself, thats completely unselfish of course, where as keeping the population stable and giving a child the same chance your own parents gave you is totaly selfish, yes even though the western world has a birth rate is well below replacement and the population is going to go into freefal in 30 years time, but as long as you get what you want all is well right?
@societysucks1 Time and money had nothing to do with my choice not to have children. And BTW is it not more selfish to HAVE children if you don't have a lot of money, given that you are then leeching off society with welfare benefits? Because I don't have the money to support a child without relying on benefits. Every child born in western society sucks yet more resources from the third world, I don't see how that is ethical. Apparently only Western babies count, though eh?
@societysucks1 How am I denying any children the "chance" of life? I use contraception, no children have ever resulted from that. If you want to give a child a chance go adopt some needy ones. Last time my entry to this world did not come with a contractual obligation for me to have children. If you want to breed, go ahead. I really have no problem with that so long as you care for your kids. Why are you so interested in what I do with my vulva, my vagina and my uterus?
@VeryNeatMonsta Yes creating people who pay taxes is totally selfish to society, especially when there will be less people around to look after our elderly in the future, why do you care more about other parts of the world than your own? Oh i will adopt and have my own, you just want to look after you, so i ll be doing more for society than people like you, do what you want but you are selfish.
@societysucks1 Who says your kids will pay taxes? There are hundreds of thousands of people out there who don't work or pay taxes a day in their lives. Assumptions assumptions. Also, I pay taxes. I pay for schools that my non-existent children will never use, I pay for other people's child tax credit and child support payments, school lunch programmes and EMA and plenty of other things I don't use. I care about the whole world, not just the part I live in.
@societysucks1 Who says I just want to look after me? Who says you'll be doing more for society than me? Because I volunteer and have volunteered with a variety of organisations in the past. Helping the mentally ill, disabled people, elderly people, homeless people, disadvantaged children, animals and the environment. What are you going to do except crap out a few kids who may or may NOT contribute to society? You assume your kids will be good and helpful. Newsflash, not all people are!
@VeryNeatMonsta All my family have payed taxes for generations, we are all professionals, not assumptions, its called pedigree, you miss the point, i never said you didn't pay tax, i said in the future there will be lots of old people and no young people paying taxes, because of people like you, check the birth replacement stats, they are well below replacement, meaning people like you are creating a future catastrophe, i care about the world too, charity starts at home.
@societysucks1 Last time I checked, paying taxes isn't genetic. Just because everyone in your family HAS, doesn't mean future kids WILL. Criminals and scum ARE born of good people sometimes you know. you missed MY point, I am already contributing to society's children. I know about the birth replacement stats, I just happen to think world population is a bigger issue.
@VeryNeatMonsta It is in my family, i would say its a pretty good predictor, you are conributing to this generation, just not the next, which is where your selfishness comes out, demographers the world over say the world population will increase then plummet in 30 years, because of people like you, it will cause a lot of problems for future generations, for God sake have some foresight.
@societysucks1 I like how you blame CF people, when people who have small families are just as much to "blame" if it can even be considered that. It is society as a whole, not the CF who are responsible for that. Its the fault of the docs who give out contraception, those who discovered it, its the fault of educators, its the fault of everyone, not just the CF.
@VeryNeatMonsta At least small families are actually conributing, its better than nothing, you are part of the problem, i never said you were the whole problem, but you are a big part of the problem.
@societysucks1 And one could argue that you are a part of the problem for the less fortunate countries in this world. Western children cause huge amounts of waste. So really, it just comes down to difference of opinion. As I said already, I respect yours. You however, seem bitter and angry about mine. Be bitter and angry all you like, its not going to stop me getting a tubal litigation as soon as I am financially capable.
@VeryNeatMonsta The less fortunate countries can only be helped when our society is fixed and its far from that, that is non sense, kids create waste where ever they are from, bitter? Angry? No, i m just telling you what i think, i don't need your respect.
@societysucks1 When our society is "fixed"? Whenever everyone is breeding like a drone whether they want to or not? I shudder to think of your comprehension of our society being "fixed", individual freedoms, rights and choices be damned. Thankfully, that will never happen. That sort of society is for Romania under the rule of Nicolae Ceauşescu, women everywhere dying due to his sick view of women. Thankfully our society is more enlightened.
@VeryNeatMonsta Its not breeding, its having children, you know babies who make people happy? I m not anti individual, do what you want, but replace the population or trouble will follow for future generations, Romania never forced people to have kids so i don't know what you mean there, yes thank God the majority of women want kids and a family but they have to have more kids to pick up the slack from women like you so that society doesn't decline, but they aren't society is in decline.
@societysucks1 Babies do not make everyone happy. If I had a penny for every person who told me they wish they'd never had kids, I'd be pretty rich by now. Actually Romania DID force people to have kids, by banning contraception and abortion and forcing all women to give birth...near the end is was something near 1 in 4 births being stillborn and massive numbers of mothers dying.
@VeryNeatMonsta Babies make everyone smile, they are angels, people tell you that coz they don't like the work sometimes but they wouldn't be without their kids for the world, abortion is evil so it contraception, but then romania never forced people to have sex now did they, you mean like in america where 39 women used to die each year from illigal abortions?

Having a dog makes me happy so you can't be happy unless you have a dog. For everyone out there that didn't pick up on this, it's scarcasm, used to demonstrate how silly it is to hold people to your own personal standards of living.
0china0cat0sunflower 4 months ago 8

Whatever you may think of this topic it's your opinion and should remain your opinion: don't try and enforce it on others.
mystiquetopaz 4 months ago

Praise to those women who chose not to have children & shame on those who chose to do so. One billion will die due to lack of food, water & shelter. It is selfish to have children and take away from limited resources. You will feed your child at the cost of life to another. Selfish. You have children so they will take care of you in your old age? Selfish "Children complete me." Selfish.
tbird54100 5 months ago
@tbird54100 Almost every person on the planet is selfish. I know of very few people who have completely altruistic reasons for remaining childfree or for having children. Parents and non parents alike make their choice because it suits their own life. It would be sanctimonious (and probably a lie) to suggest otherwise.
The whole argument makes no sense when both sides are equally self involved.
TheDharmawheel 5 months ago
@tbird54100 feeding someone at the cost of NOT feeding another? You are such a RETARD! Yes, maybe having kids is selfish, but DON'T say that it's selfish to take natural resources away from others. YOU DO THE SAME THING EVERYTIME YOU EAT, DRINK or BREATHE. So if you want to label parents selfish for that matter, you ought to label YOURSELF as that for taking resources away from others. The exact same way YOUR PARENTS did when they raised YOU!
AdmiralofU2 4 months ago
@tbird54100 Okay Okay... so less children means we will use our surplus to feed other people.... No for economic reasons we will either burn or store the food. How do I know this.... IT'S Happening..... Starvation is about greed... not overpopulation

@XxGlitterfulxX My god, shut up. Some people want to travel to other countries or start businesses, experience things you can't with kids.
MissMidoria 5 months ago
@MissMidoria we may not be the "average" person but we certainly exist and we are the people that think logically about having kids before we have them and see that we can have both things. I realise i am in a privileged position and so are many people i know and that others don't have the same luxuries though. I don't think i'm "pretending" anything, i'm simply pointing out that there are people for whom financial issues don't come into whether we have kids or not.
TheDharmawheel 5 months ago
Why do people look at kids as burdens. They are blessings from above and they give great joy to my husband and I our marriage is stronger cause we have a beautiful family we made and we still get our time together and we love spending time as a family. It's lonely when you don't have kids they bring a lot of joy to a persons life
XxGlitterfulxX 6 months ago

Nah, just breed em! It must be the fault of the wealthy, or farmers people are starving...
Damn your dumb.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@arohaanahera1NO stupid, seriously! If a person did not exist then that person would not be starving would they? At no point in the history of the world have people "internationally" fed the world (your new word), or EVER will. ChristinaWolfle 1 month ago
Mostly we get tired of the same people patting themselves on the back like they're heros for accidentally making a baby.
embracingreality 1 month ago
@embracingreality thx for clarifying for me
ChristinaWolfle 1 month ago
@schneke1 I've already pointed out that the western world DID have a starvation problem as a result of poverty and we still have poverty. Starvation is rare now because WE HAVE reduced the population, THATS WHY! Third world countries are over populated. That doesn't mean no person should ever breed, nor did I ever say that! But if the US bred like the third world we would have starvation!
For examples of those who regret breeding search "regret having kids" for yourself.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 In her well published book "Little White Lies, Deep Dark Secrets: The Truth About Why Women Lie" (see amazon) Susan Barash found that of women she surveyed 50% admitted to lying about their happiness as a mother. Search the internet "happiness not having children" and you'll find that it's MANY parents. You get educated!
WHERE did I say "people shouldn't have kids"? Quote me, liar.
Overpopulation, starvation, my tax dollars are ALL good reasons why stupid people shouldn't breed, you.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 So if "distribution" was not in reference to people with food (who live in the world..) distributing it to those in other parts of the world who don't have food, hence going to come together, WHAT, then genius was your term "distribution" in reference to??? Does food "distribute" itself on the wind?
You presume yourself bright? You better go change a diaper or something your capable of doing properly.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 I didn't realize you were so simple you didn't know why people starve, it's poverty dear.
People DID commonly starve in this country and throughout the western world only decades ago! What happened? The population growth declined. You didn't know that the population growth in the west has declined to the point that it has actually stopped and is even shrinking? Poverty is a huge problem= people having kids they can't afford because their stupid. Contraception has been the solution.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 Yes dear, starvation IS about overpopulation. The notion that somehow the whole world is going to join forces and distribute all their food and resources evenly to whoever wants it is likely the most simple minded concept you've come up with. How long would it take before the simple minded had 40 kids each all holding their hand out? EVEN IF that were to ever happen do you think it's smart to have kids, let them starve waiting on this magical utopia in the meantime? Can you think?
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 If your "friends" had the option of saying what they really think anonymously as I do you might find out a lot different. A LOT of us without kids are tired of our hard earned tax dollars being spend on other peoples kids because their screw up parents can't take care of them or figure out how to have sex without making a baby every third time. Were tired of watching their kids starve to death because their so stupid they don't know where babies come from apparently. You have no idea..
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 My initial post (that you responded to) was that many parents regret their choice to have children. I GOT THAT FROM THEM, THEY SAID IT!!! You on the other hand try to manipulate my comment into me saying people shouldn't have kids. I didn't say that, your a manipulator. I pointed out why people should at least consider NOT having kids, or less kids as a result of the condition of the world.
Your the one making assumptions.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 You are the one who told ME that it wasn't that bad in the 1st place... if "arguing about it is pointless" since you know so much about childbirth/ labour pain (and think I don't), why did you tell me that nonsense in the first place? What happens to you has no effect on me whatsoever (or anyone), so next time you see a comment like that, don't talk crap like that.
artep2122 6 months ago
@schneke1 Also, don't have that smug attitude as if a child free woman cannot know what taking care of a newborn is like... I do. And yes, I like still babies. It is difficult but I love babies (family).
Finally, I know that period pains are unbearable, so OBVIOUSLY childbirth and labour would be far worse...I am not IMAGINING. I KNOW. You have that nasty attitude that makes childless people have children ("you don't know until you try"). Like I told you, God gave me a brain and I use it.
artep2122 6 months ago
@schneke1 What you said in the 1st sentence took the sense out of what you said after. You said it wasn't bad for you, then that some are really bad.. You said that people make it seem like it is some martyrdom event (when it IS), but yet you talk about how it wasn't that bad for you. I am certain that most women experience extreme pain than not. YOU are the one who told me it wasn't that bad, first - like if what happens to you matters or would be similar for me...
artep2122 6 months ago
@schneke1 So those who don't breed "people like me" are why all those millions of children are born into starvation? I "feel better"? I can imagine what it's feels like to starve to death but next year millions more will be starving because the simple minded don't take any accountability for their careless reproduction. oh well. I'm just glad I won't have a stake in the future of this screwed up world, that will be your kids problem.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 Maybe you should try looking around at the world at what is actually going on. Do you live in a bubble? Did you know thats its estimated that around 10 million children starve to death in the world every year? Statistically MOST pregnancies are not planned. Out of wedlock births in the US are nearly 40%. In the US it costs around $250,000 to raise one child to adulthood. Your amazed at the debate?
The simple mindedness of people is exactly why we have nearly out bred the planet.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 Who's imagining? Are you not aware that many parents are actually miserable as a result of their exhaustive lives trying to care for more children than they are capable? Doesn't mean they hate the kids but many would do it differently if they had the option AND SAY SO!
It's those WITH kids who tell everybody who doesn't want any 'your selfish". Why do they care??? Jealousy, insecurity? I don't tell them to send their bratty kids back!
I'd have some kids, if I wanted any... No thanks.
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 I know plenty of single childless WOMEN who might be envious but men? Any single childless man with a good job has a plethora of single mom's and ready-made families available to him in this society. I think you'll find thats a pretty damn short line...
And who's "criticizing choices"? Fact is most kid's are accidents but some of the dissatisfactions of parents, especially men, comes to me straight from the mouths of MARRIED MEN WITH KIDS! Many of whom don't recommend it!
embracingreality 6 months ago
@schneke1 It was not as bad as you thought FOR YOU. I see women CRY very badly. You don't scream and cry for "not as bad as I thought". There are people that suffered wayyy worse than you, and died. So for some it is a martyrdom event. I can assure you if I had, it would be exceedingly painful. I'm not stupid enough to volunteer for extreme, unbearable pain. And I like babies, so I don't see that as more torturous.

Have you ever visited a nursing home???
Nursing homes are literally filled with millions of elderly people (primarily old women) most of whom have children! Think about it! Are your kids going to quit their jobs or neglect their own kids to tend to you in your dotage? Hell no! They're going to dump you off at the home the first sign of dependency just like your parents did with granny...
Give up on the fairytales, save your money and buy a long term care insurance policy.
Forget about kids!

@embracingreality
To be fair, many of those elderly people in nursing homes are so physically/mentally disabled that they require 24 hour professional supervision.
logik316 7 months ago
@embracingreality i'm going to have to disagree with you there. It really depends on how the kids were raised. I choose to be child free, but I grew up in a wonderful family. I can't imagine dumping my parents in a home. I would rather starve first. Yes, I was in that 0.01% that made it work somehow.
What I want to say is that we shouldn't be attacking those who are able to genuinely care for their childrens' emotional and physical well-being. They are just as much a minority as we are.
batmanpronz 6 months ago 2
@batmanpronz How a person was "raised" by their parents will no doubt effect their decision when' to put a parent in a nursing home but so will their personal circumstances. An intense work schedule, several kids of their own, a strained marriage ect. Add to the equation the elderly parent may be suffering from dementia, Alzheimer's, incontinence, inability to walk or even feed themselves.... I'm not talking about an after school special I'm talking about the real world. Thats why we have homes.
embracingreality 6 months ago
Many married people are deeply envious of single people, especially husbands envious of single men (and their wives hate the freedom and privileges of single men too). Likewise many parents resent and envy couples without children even if only sub-conciously. Many parents regret their daily burdens but could never publicly acknowledge this because it's socially unacceptable to say so. Such sore losers will never change my mind to remain childfree and their misery only strengthens my resolve.

God bless these people. I feel the same way. I don't ever want to become a dad. I'm too selfish to put what I want first and live a life without that kind of hassle or responsibility.

VikingLady219 9 months ago 7
Having kids takes a huge strain on your time, money and health because of stress. Besides pregnancy sounds like a terrible 9 months of discomfort and pain for a woman. I will never put a woman through all that. Everyone thinks it's weird that I just want to spend the rest of my life with the girl I love. Hopefully I find a childfree girl in the future. They seem to be a rare kind. I'm 17 and I may be too young to know what I want but I certainly know what I DON'T WANT. Childfree FTW
elr456 9 months ago 9
@elr456 Yeah, you could change your mind--but you may not. Most CF ppl knew at a very young age (before being a teen, even) that they didn't want kids. I knew when I was 11 (I'm now 33) The CF community is growing, and more ppl are admitting to not wanting children. You will find a woman who doesn't want kids, we're out there! Just stay patient, my friend, you have time:)
tigerslilly29 9 months ago 4
@tigerslilly29 That's what I've always thought. I can't see myself as a future father. I absolutely do not want the huge responsibilities that come with raising a child. I dislike children. I wish more girls would think like you. Our world is overpopulated enough. I also find it quite dumb that CF people are called selfish when people with kids bring a life into this world simply because they WANT to. It's great to know that there are more CF people everyday.
elr456 9 months ago 4
@elr456 The most selfish thing anybody can possibly ever do is have a child. CF ppl think about the future of children, breeders don't. Trust me, the CF community is growing. I belong to several CF pages/groups on FB. There are literally several million of ppl who are CF. We're starting to come out more. CF women are caring less about the stigma attached. Stay patient, you will find your CF girl--promise!
tigerslilly29 9 months ago 4
Wish me luck! If only more girls would think like you! I've known since 7 I don't want kids. People just don't understand that we don't want that burden. Instead many people tend think of CF people as: weird, gay, impotent, a slut or a guy who sleeps with whores, etc. Screw them. I actually want to enjoy my life with my future CF love with no kids. My family/ friends ridicule me for this since we're Hispanic and my people breed "because everyone does it". I find it quite disappointing really =(
elr456 9 months ago 4

I don't like to stay at one job for that long, lol.
tigerslilly29 9 months ago 10
@tigerslilly29 LOL when I was 11 I was the complete opposite. When I was 11 I but pillows under my shirt and pretended I was pregnant. But no... I will not have 10 kids

If it's in your sphere of taste, date older women. Once they reach a certain age, kids become less important to them over time and they're not under as much duress and pressure to have kids. Good luck! =]
Mokurentate 7 months ago
@Mokurentate Some older women are very attractive but I want a girl my age who never wants kids. "Maybe wants kids" is a yes. I want one who says: "Never wanted them, not now, not ever because kids suck".

the male commentator is definitely not shy to show his disdain for the childfree.

0:20 The lady just lied.......that is about the joking. It is sad that people will say anything to mislead others to adopt their way of life. Is there any reason people with kids (or who want kids someday, such as myself) can't just live their lives and let others live theirs? Same goes for people on the opposite side. I don't think of you as "childless" or "childfree": you're just people who, for some reason or another, don't want kids. No big deal, am I right?
JayOleck 1 year ago
@JayOleck When I wrote the comment I was doing "research" on the CF sites. I learned that as in all groups there are very misguided extremist who turn a respectful belief into something twisted. It's sad because these people are creating derogatory names for parents and racist-like cliches. Believing that all parents have the same experienceis ignorance. There is enough hate & saying I hate kids/parents is wrong like saying I hate Blacks, Jews, Gays. CF haven't met every parent/child.
MilkshakeCowboy 1 year ago
@MilkshakeCowboy Absolutely agreed, my friend. I've met many people who have kids. They are good parents, their kids are (for the most part) well-behaved. I've also met many couples, including my best friend of 25 years, who don't have or want kids. Neither are any happier than the other, but every one of them are smart enough to realize that it's just a choice. I am sickened by people who have18, 19 kids, but I realize nothing I say will have any effect and I leave them the bloody frig alone.
JayOleck 1 year ago
@MilkshakeCowboy Oh, perhaps "sickened" is not the right phrase, but it's the only one I can think of at the moment.
JayOleck 1 year ago
@MilkshakeCowboy What are you talking about? The word "breeder"? We use that term because that is precisely what they are. They neglect to override their selfish genes and instincts and bring another life into this world, when there are ALREADY millions of children who need a home ALREADY present in existence. Its utterly selfish, not to mention they are acting like animals who have not yet learned to overcome their primal instincts, and thus, that is what we term them.
LunarVegan 11 months ago 5
@LunarVegan If you really think that all parents are neglectful, selfish animals then you are blinded by your own convictions and you seem to have a prejudice attitude. There are no absolutes in this world and to vilify another group of people because they don't share your philosophy is ignorance. Being a parent whether you adopt or have biological children is not selfish. look at it like this, you not having kids leaves space for other folks to have their own. it's a win-win situation for all.
MilkshakeCowboy 11 months ago
It kind of depresses me that this is newsworthy. It is my firm opinion that if less people had kids and thought about whether they were really suited to having children, it would be a much happier world, for the children and the adults in it. What is nice to hear is the increase in CF couples. It is good that people are beginning to recognise that it's a valid choice.
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
Funny how faithfulness and a happy sexual relationship stayed top of the list for a decade, while having children went down lol
PositiveNature 1 year ago
If having children is the ultimate experience of happiness, why do so many parents tell me never to have them? Nearly all of my friends who have children are burdened with endless levels of stress and a sense of disillusionment.
TheGreaterGood80 1 year ago 2
@TheGreaterGood80 I've been told by many parents to not have children. They're the few honest ones. Then you have the parents who are miserable who are trying to act like they're not even tho they obviously are and are upset the CF don't have crappy lives like them so they try to convince you to have kids.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 I love the reaction my girlfriend and I get when we tell people we don't want kids. They're shocked, and ask "Why? You don't want kids??" and when you ask them if it is the duty of every single person to reproduce, you'll notice they have nothing to say. Either way, I'm a proud uncle. I get to help raise and interact with my family's next generation without being tied down. And considering how crazy this xmas weekend was, I'm ready to pass my nieces and nephew back to my brother!
TheGreaterGood80 1 year ago
@TheGreaterGood80 Oh yeah, it's always, "Don't you like kids?" I only like them in spurts, for about five minutes. I like kids as long as they leave. I have two brothers who are also CF, so I don't get to play Auntie! But it's ok, because anyone with half a brain knows that there are shit loads of kids in the world. I know plenty of ppl with kids that I could play Tea with or something!

tigerslilly29 1 year ago

VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@VeryNeatMonsta That's like us CF ppl having kids to instill in them to stay CF. Smart ppl don't necessarily have smart kids, unfortunately. Ppl with kids will say the stupidest shit to try to make having kids seem like a good thing.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 Tell me about it...and the people who behave like this are the ones who make it evident by the very presence of them and their kids (because those who bingo are usually raising little helllions) that having kids is deffo NOT a good thing.

@PositiveNature Oh my you have such a positive nature.
societysucks1 1 year ago
@societysucks1 I seriously hope your future children can spell better than you can. And FYI, I have heard very few unselfish reasons for having kids. "I have a burning desire for children" "It will make our marriage complete" "I want a child to raise" "I want something to love" "I want someone to care for me when I am old", these are ALL selfish reasons. Many people choose not to have children because of environmental, social or societal concerns. That is not selfish.
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@VeryNeatMonsta I wish your parents had been environmental and not had you, hey though you ll have more time & money for yourself, thats completely unselfish of course, where as keeping the population stable and giving a child the same chance your own parents gave you is totaly selfish, yes even though the western world has a birth rate is well below replacement and the population is going to go into freefal in 30 years time, but as long as you get what you want all is well right?
societysucks1 1 year ago
@societysucks1 Time and money had nothing to do with my choice not to have children. And BTW is it not more selfish to HAVE children if you don't have a lot of money, given that you are then leeching off society with welfare benefits? Because I don't have the money to support a child without relying on benefits. Every child born in western society sucks yet more resources from the third world, I don't see how that is ethical. Apparently only Western babies count, though eh?
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@societysucks1 How am I denying any children the "chance" of life? I use contraception, no children have ever resulted from that. If you want to give a child a chance go adopt some needy ones. Last time my entry to this world did not come with a contractual obligation for me to have children. If you want to breed, go ahead. I really have no problem with that so long as you care for your kids. Why are you so interested in what I do with my vulva, my vagina and my uterus?
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@VeryNeatMonsta Yes creating people who pay taxes is totally selfish to society, especially when there will be less people around to look after our elderly in the future, why do you care more about other parts of the world than your own? Oh i will adopt and have my own, you just want to look after you, so i ll be doing more for society than people like you, do what you want but you are selfish.
societysucks1 1 year ago
@societysucks1 Who says your kids will pay taxes? There are hundreds of thousands of people out there who don't work or pay taxes a day in their lives. Assumptions assumptions. Also, I pay taxes. I pay for schools that my non-existent children will never use, I pay for other people's child tax credit and child support payments, school lunch programmes and EMA and plenty of other things I don't use. I care about the whole world, not just the part I live in.
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@societysucks1 Who says I just want to look after me? Who says you'll be doing more for society than me? Because I volunteer and have volunteered with a variety of organisations in the past. Helping the mentally ill, disabled people, elderly people, homeless people, disadvantaged children, animals and the environment. What are you going to do except crap out a few kids who may or may NOT contribute to society? You assume your kids will be good and helpful. Newsflash, not all people are!
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@VeryNeatMonsta All my family have payed taxes for generations, we are all professionals, not assumptions, its called pedigree, you miss the point, i never said you didn't pay tax, i said in the future there will be lots of old people and no young people paying taxes, because of people like you, check the birth replacement stats, they are well below replacement, meaning people like you are creating a future catastrophe, i care about the world too, charity starts at home.
societysucks1 1 year ago
@societysucks1 Last time I checked, paying taxes isn't genetic. Just because everyone in your family HAS, doesn't mean future kids WILL. Criminals and scum ARE born of good people sometimes you know. you missed MY point, I am already contributing to society's children. I know about the birth replacement stats, I just happen to think world population is a bigger issue.
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@VeryNeatMonsta It is in my family, i would say its a pretty good predictor, you are conributing to this generation, just not the next, which is where your selfishness comes out, demographers the world over say the world population will increase then plummet in 30 years, because of people like you, it will cause a lot of problems for future generations, for God sake have some foresight.
societysucks1 1 year ago
@societysucks1 I like how you blame CF people, when people who have small families are just as much to "blame" if it can even be considered that. It is society as a whole, not the CF who are responsible for that. Its the fault of the docs who give out contraception, those who discovered it, its the fault of educators, its the fault of everyone, not just the CF.
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@VeryNeatMonsta At least small families are actually conributing, its better than nothing, you are part of the problem, i never said you were the whole problem, but you are a big part of the problem.
societysucks1 1 year ago
@societysucks1 And one could argue that you are a part of the problem for the less fortunate countries in this world. Western children cause huge amounts of waste. So really, it just comes down to difference of opinion. As I said already, I respect yours. You however, seem bitter and angry about mine. Be bitter and angry all you like, its not going to stop me getting a tubal litigation as soon as I am financially capable.
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago 2
@VeryNeatMonsta The less fortunate countries can only be helped when our society is fixed and its far from that, that is non sense, kids create waste where ever they are from, bitter? Angry? No, i m just telling you what i think, i don't need your respect.
societysucks1 1 year ago
@societysucks1 When our society is "fixed"? Whenever everyone is breeding like a drone whether they want to or not? I shudder to think of your comprehension of our society being "fixed", individual freedoms, rights and choices be damned. Thankfully, that will never happen. That sort of society is for Romania under the rule of Nicolae Ceauşescu, women everywhere dying due to his sick view of women. Thankfully our society is more enlightened.
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@VeryNeatMonsta Its not breeding, its having children, you know babies who make people happy? I m not anti individual, do what you want, but replace the population or trouble will follow for future generations, Romania never forced people to have kids so i don't know what you mean there, yes thank God the majority of women want kids and a family but they have to have more kids to pick up the slack from women like you so that society doesn't decline, but they aren't society is in decline.
societysucks1 1 year ago
@societysucks1 Babies do not make everyone happy. If I had a penny for every person who told me they wish they'd never had kids, I'd be pretty rich by now. Actually Romania DID force people to have kids, by banning contraception and abortion and forcing all women to give birth...near the end is was something near 1 in 4 births being stillborn and massive numbers of mothers dying.
VeryNeatMonsta 1 year ago
@VeryNeatMonsta Babies make everyone smile, they are angels, people tell you that coz they don't like the work sometimes but they wouldn't be without their kids for the world, abortion is evil so it contraception, but then romania never forced people to have sex now did they, you mean like in america where 39 women used to die each year from illigal abortions?
