Tut is probably one of the most awesome parakeet names ever, he looks like a Tut. These birds are total characters, when my Morsel was younger she never wanted to be in her cage, but now at about 8 years old she's pretty content chillaxing on her swing whistling, chirping, and grooming...what a life huh?

@oc1omaen get a young bird that you can bond with. it does take a lot of time and patience to train your bird. actually they train you ; ) really just spend the time that it takes to earn their trust and you will have your bird eating out of your hand. literally.

@benriddle1 male parakeets have a blue cere and the females have a a pinky fleshy tone. These cere is where their nostrils are. Sometimes it takes a few months for the cere to turn blue if its a male. But by three months old you should be able to tell.

My 1st& most favortie keet was Spaz. Spaz had a vocabulary of 80+ words, some quite naughty& did lots of tricks. He was a sort of consolation prize for having to have 4 molars pulled when I was 12 years old& opened me up to being a bird lover. I've only had a few keets as awesome as Spaz, named Cetriolo/Cucumber who was given to my family because his owners said he was too noisy. It turned out that he was speaking Italian which my friend had pointed out to us. Tut is great, long live Tut!

oh that's too bad. did you get the parrot from someone else. sprititually connect with your bird and ask it what's wrong and let it know you want to connect with it. birds are very social beings.

yes...that's exactly why i've made this video. tut is actually very old now and the vet recently found a tumor and says he only has a month to live! i'm heart broken!

It's been almost 3 months and Tut seems much better. I've changed his diet and now giving him RO water. It seems to have revived him! I'll keep everyone updated! Thanks for all the love and support!
