Any chance I could get the rest of the show off you? Archive.org doesn't seem to have it, despite most of the ones from the era being there. Would really be appreciated. Thanks for this song either way.
Satan is the enemy. i believe Elliott is in heaven. We were all created by the one and only GOD!!!!!! Jesus died for all of us!!! anyone here ever thought about elliotts lyrics (some lines) in a christian way? it seems he maybe talking about jesus especially in the end lyrics of bottle up, i suggest we all thank hey is there only one god?
i know this one thing at least!! that god is god and nothing or no one else
This is just how he sang during this period. He always had a very fragile voice in terms of holding notes, and the great thing about him is that he knew this and even expressed some insecurity about it at times, yet still performed regardless. Personally I love the sound it lends his music, even here.
Yeah it's sad but it's just what happened. He abused himself and it took its toll. He was still a fucking genius. The chords and lyrics are still little puzzles.
@isolationeitheror He was trying to kick drugs. He was having issues. His vocals aren't really sharp most of this era, unfortunately. Plus, this song was always a little hard on his range.
i'm really glad you liked it. it was the first time i heard the song and i was amazed by the vigor in his voice. i just had to get it up, since the show is temporarily unavailable now except by trade :(

yes, his voice is rough here. he was going through a lot of hard shit in the last year or so. but the sincerity and emotion is totally there.
