  • Any chance I could get the rest of the show off you? Archive.org doesn't seem to have it, despite most of the ones from the era being there. Would really be appreciated. Thanks for this song either way.

  • yes, his voice is rough here. he was going through a lot of hard shit in the last year or so. but the sincerity and emotion is totally there.

  • it's a scary, sneaky disco song. seriously that's a strong backbeat.

  • yeah i love elliott but his voice just really took a hit its so shaky he always sounds on the verge of tears

  • How many fucking great songs could one person have written? Ouuuu-ou-ou-ou-ouuut.

  • this song is better than the beatles

  • its on the baby britain pt. 2 single

  • The studio version is 100 times better

  • idk about that, I would have to say I like the live version better, its more heart felt.

  • If theres any reason for me to hope theres an afterlife,it's so i can say thank you for everything ^_^ R.I.P buddy

  • Thanks for your reply hheartbeats.

  • Yeah, I know this is from a live show. What I was asking was from what album or single does this song come from?, thanks.

  • I think it appears on the album "b-sides, alternete versions & demos".

  • Is this song from the basement sessions?

  • No, it's from a live show. One of my favourite bootlegs.

  • Awesome song!

  • This is just how he sang during this period. He always had a very fragile voice in terms of holding notes, and the great thing about him is that he knew this and even expressed some insecurity about it at times, yet still performed regardless. Personally I love the sound it lends his music, even here.

  • "gona take myself away" wow never heard that before.

  • oh god, he sounds a whole lot different, i'm amazed.

  • are you really sure that it's elliott on the vocals?

  • i know it is. i have the whole show.

  • @Pardalbrummel you honestly can't tell? I'd know that voice anywhere.

  • @Pardalbrummel how can u not tell this is elliott, it sounds like him being a little more agressive than usual, but obviously him

  • buenos

  • so, you were really at that show? where in the crowd were you?

  • oh no, i wasn't at this show. if only!

  • ive NEVER heard him sing like this before

    he sounds really upset

  • i agree with u and the lyrics are changed in certain parts... its only a month till he makes it come true anyhow.

  • This is from February, he died in October.

  • @isolationeitheror

Yeah it's sad but it's just what happened. He abused himself and it took its toll. He was still a fucking genius. The chords and lyrics are still little puzzles.

  • @isolationeitheror He was trying to kick drugs. He was having issues. His vocals aren't really sharp most of this era, unfortunately. Plus, this song was always a little hard on his range.

  • this is awesome, thanks so much for uploading this. one of my favorite songs by him.

  • i'm really glad you liked it. it was the first time i heard the song and i was amazed by the vigor in his voice. i just had to get it up, since the show is temporarily unavailable now except by trade :(
