I have the GE X500 & keep it in the vehicle at all times. I especially like the panorama feature although one must be deliberate. The speed is great & 16 megapixels is outstanding at any price. This camera, imo, is a best buy in a small camera with big features.
I got this camera for christmas I'm not sure how to use A lot of the features such as the 3D mode and I'm not sure if its the newer modle or the older modle
@kivnonparkour It can take several pictures in a "burst" like mode. I have not used this mode but the camera's focus system is similar to most point and shoots so I would not expect it to have super fast focusing (like you would need to shoot sporting events).
@NickCam34928 The video mode is poor. the video itself is pretty average (not HD) but the audio is terrible making videos almost unusable. I don't think you have a lot of manual controls when it comes to video.
Wondering if you had tested night mode with this camera; i.e., a photo of the moon. This camera seems to have most of the features I am looking for & price is right. I was comparing the FujiFilm Finepix S3200 and the Nikon Coolpix L120 but it was the price of the Agfa that caught my eye. (Although the other two have a 3" LCD)
I am interested in landscape and wildlife photography and of course shooting at sunset and/or night is important. Wondering if you tried it at these times. Thanks!
@Cissy2cute I have not tried any moon shots. I think the other photos would work if you keep your expectations in line with a point and shoot camera as opposed to a SLR camera. Most point and shoots don't have the quick focusing of a SLR which can pose a problem when shooting fast moving kids and animals.
yea you can look at the fuji body style from fuji the back side and the front are the same but the lens are different and agfa is the same aswell you can search fuji s2950 and s 2940 and compair them with agfa and ge i love to get one to repalce my broken camera that i got rid of the broken one i got it has a small lens like a pin hole lens i want a better camera that has a good lens and quality
hi can you show the settings and functions and the zoom of the camera i have thought of the ge x500 i wasnt sure of agfa brand but also fuji has the same body style of them great video keep up the good work
@bluejay148 Hi. The zoom is 15x and you can see some pictures at that zoom at the end of the video. The ge x500 and the fuji are not the same camera. I'm guessing that the OEM manufacturer copied the body style from the fugi.
DrMike, you didn't address the one feature I need to know about on this camera: the one click upload to social networking sites. How does that work? WiFi I assume?
Hello Dr. Mike and thanks for the review on the Agfa/GE Selecta 14/15. My question is: will the zoom out lens accept filtering? If so, what mm size filters will work? Many thanks!
Thank u so much, this helped to decide buying this Camera for my brother, who needs a basic camera, but he preferred a camera like the one i have is kodak easyshare z612, and this agfaphoto selectra 14mp is just almost same or even higher featured one than kodak, its just the name of agfa is not popular or in the web, there is no review at all about this camera, but i found yours, satisfied. i bought this one from Tigerdirect.ca at 119$ . + tax. + shipping. = 142$. , ur a good man, god bless u

I can't seem to get the EVF/LCD button to work. I bought the camera for the EVF. When I press the button, the EVF is black. Any ideas?
