I used to crew with Skysurfer Balloon Co. (They had the balloon with the palm trees and clouds on it in the video) back in 1998 to 2000 before all of that area started to get developed. =/ I really miss my old job and the guys I used to crew with there... I'm glad I got to see the old chasing grounds again =,)

Wow Dave, you have done a little bit of everything in your lifetime haven't you. Sure looked fun, my first balloon ride did not turn out so well, I was very yound but we landed in a tree somehow. No one was hurt but at the age of nine I was pretty scared. Ladder truck had to get us down lol.

Thank you. Yes it was a VHS recorder that was strapped to my waist and a big Panasonic camera I carried. I have a DVD recorder that I can make DVDs from my tapes. From there I put the DVD in my computer and Magix Movie Edit pro, recognizes the .vob files and then I can edit it.

Usually they change directions by either gaining or lowering the altitude of the balloon as wind currents move in different directions depending on how high up you actually are.

That is right, as I explained. High makes you go inland (east) and low makes you go towards the beach,(west). No steering whatsoever.
