  • Superb! I'm going to be working a new job in desktop support and I know people will have macro questions. I need to start somewhere in understanding them and I've come to the right video for starters. Thank you all involved in making these videos, planting the seed and now I can grow it.. great job!

  • I'm almost ashamed at how much I learned in watching 2 videos by this guy than I ever learned in 12 years on my own even though I have always had excel.

  • great video

  • Thanks for the info!

  • Brilliant! Thanks for this, just found it in time for my interview prep! Thanks NQT! (:

  • @museangel3 , me too, I got a interview for a process analyst and they ask abt macros, ( they mention in their letter) now i understand abt it, i realise i always know how to do it. :D

  • question: whats the dif between that and copying+pasting the sheet?

  • @borogou669 the difference is that this allows you to automate a process. The whole point of this video was simply to demonstrate the macro process nothing more

  • @NQTraining

What's automating a process?? I know how you can assign macros to manipulate graphs while you change the values in the table etc, but what has this video got to do with automating anything? Mind to clear this up for me? I'd like to learn how to use marcos.

  • @NQTraining I get your point and it was a great video, but I am still a little confused as to why you wouldn't just copy and paste. Can you give an example of where copying and pasting wouldn't work?

  • you are unbelievable and an excellent teacher thank you!!!! :)

  • Hello, I think if you dont know nobody does, so, is there a way to create a macro to set up the macro security level to "down" automatically, because threre are many users dont know how to do it, thank you very much

  • very nice...i didn't hv the slightest idea of a macro bt nw i have it...thanks to you:)

  • Its very useful to use macros in the excel sheet. Thank for the video..

  • Good explanation of how to record a macro. The example was really well thought out!

  • i have a home sheet 1 and sheet 2 and sheet3

now i sheet 1 i spent 50 dolars so it will appear in sheet 2.

now i try to put new columns in 1, and i put the # but nothing appear in sheet 2.

how can i make it work?

  • Unfortunately this doesn't work with Excel 2008 for a Mac. Apparently the macros don't work with the Mac OS and AppleScripts :( Let's hope for an upgrade in the future.

  • what's a Macro?

  • makes me hungry =P

  • this is really good, buuut i still need to know how to make a macro button that will allow me to move from sheet to sheet, does anyone know???

  • very useful example. I had no clue before. great illustration.

  • Thanks a lot for this tutorial. Will share this with friends

  • is there a way to record ur mouse and play it back again?

  • Hello

I just created my first macro.

But after I stop recording, I go to Macros & I cant find the macro I just created. Any one out there has any ideas what I'm doing wrong????

  • @Bflys69

You need to save the macros in the "Personal Macro Workbook". Else it would be saved in the workbook you created your macro in. Saving it in the location mentioned above lets you use it in any worksheet.

  • still pretty hard but nice job xD

  • Very Helpful especially for beginers like me

  • This Is Really Tight!!! Keep Up The Good Work!!

  • nice :) thanks mate :P

    take care now bro ^^,
