I love Terry Gilliam's expresion at several points in the movie. And I feel sorry for Jones. And I honestly don't know how any of them hold themselves together without bursting into laughter
It is pre-Python. It was written by Terry Jones and Michael Palin whilst they were at Oxford University. It was then loaned to the Cambrige University Footlights for their "Cambridge Circus" show, starring John Cleese and Graham Cleese. You can see the sketch in full on the "Monty Python: Live at the Hollywood Bowl" film.
They're such good sports, especially the middle one (can't decide who it is). Palin's got stone emotions to be able to keep a straight face, while Gilliam's cracking a smile. ;)
gilliams always either laughing or trying not to to laugh, but he seems to be always smiling, hes awesome, theyre all aweesome!!!long live the monty python crew
I love this. Poor Jones. Gilliam is loving this. You can tell. Just adoring it. The sideways deposit is wonderful. And the surprise one might be my favorite. And the 3 course one.
This is only the tip of Slapstick comedy, Toad Fanatic. But of course a very funny tip. SlapShtick (as it is also know) also came from the Keystone Cops, Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplan, Even up to Dick Van Dyke. long before the likes of the Monty Python group and Benny Hill and such. Keep studying grasshopper, there is much more to learn.
u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to copy and paste to be saved
@BTLemming have you seen the internet peoples? that doesnt count as much, im suprised half of them werent wondering why they didnt have a thumb on the bottom of the hand just like the picture
does anyone know what year this was. I never seen it before, thanks for posting. i loved it. joney got a pie in the crouch...only the pythons can make that funny
I think by that time he was up to 2 bottles a day, then he quite in 78 to do life of brian. if you look for the secret life of brian he talks about how he knew he had to quite because the other guy didnt think he could do a huge role like that unless he did.

@jadger1871 I think he is, he was known for often being drunk on stage and alcoholism is what killed him too.

@MichielThePieEater No, he sobered up before he did the "Life of Brian". He died of cancer, not alcoholism.
