The original idea was Eno's. Look up generative music and Sseyo Koan (which Eno helped design). Electroplankton just took those ideas, and Eno & Chilvers felt they should take it back.
BTW Peter Chilvers has a free download-only album called "Free" which is quite good
i really like this app. not so much creating my own sounds tho, I like to just listen. It's very very soothing, yet depressing. So it helps me both clear my head, and think very very hard. I can listen to it for hours.
I'm not saying Eno stole anything but he knew that the tanorion or whatever its called is about, plus electroplankton...they should of come up with something better than this because it feels like a ripoff otherwise.
Good app but it's been done better so a little pointless now.
Yes I have some of the albums and know how his ambient works came about. Nobody said that electroplankton came before Brian Eno, you missed the point.
If he was going to put his name to something, that it would be different to alot of programs that are being produced atm, whether influenced by him abient genre or whatever.
you idiots. brian eno was on the forefront of generative music. he didnt steal anything from anyone, nor did Electroplankton steal something from eno.
That's exactly how it happened. Eno got into his time machine back in 1971, traveled to 2006, stole the idea of generative music from Nintendo, went back to 1971, and then recorded 35 years' worth of music ripping off a hand-held video game.
Nintendo then stole time travel from Eno and went back to 1971 to sue him, but the court tossed out the suit on the technicality that the plaintiffs hadn't been born yet.
Can you choose which colours to use? x

what a cacophony. I'd rather be listening to a cat being hit by a car while giving birth. Or Britney Spears.

Fuck kids are ignorant today. Do you have ANY idea who Brian Eno even is?
Electroplankton would not exist without Brian Eno.
