  • give me all info on these please anyone

  • these things live in my local creek and now im scared shitless

  • That's a scarlet kingsnake if is yellow touching the black is poisonous too, it happens I got a freaking scarlet kingsnake that went inside the board, hate them.

  • @kinace2002 look. Something for you to know. "Red Touches Black You're Okay Jack. Red Touches Yellow, Kill A Fellow"

  • @kinace2002 No its not, King snakes are not "poisonous" and besides, theres no such thing as a poisonous snake. Snakes are venomous. Poison has to be ingested or absorbed. Venom is injected into your blood. But, if you knew as much about snakes as you claim to, you'd know that.

  • im getting one today..how big do they get?

  • thats a coral snake not a scarlet king

  • @CptMorgan5 no its a scarlet king. :)

  • @CptMorgan5 no the red is not touching the yellow its separated by a black strand so its a scarlet

  • Where can you get one of these...they aren't local to my area

  • My scarlet won't eat ANYthing but live skinks and lizards. now that winter is coming I'm not sure I'll be able to keep him because both of those are getting scarce and he won't touch pinkies :P

  • I love the colors!

  • friendly camera tip. stand further back from your subject so your lens can focus. and then zoom in

  • red on black, friend of jack, red on yellow, dangerous fellow, scarlet snake not dangerous.

  • Hey nice scarlet king. I have a breeding pair, which are actually together right now! My male will eat anoles, skinks, and even hoppers but my female is pretty picky, only eating anoles and skinks. Do you have any special methods of getting them to eat pinkies? Also the hatchlings are really picky! They will only eat skinks till a little later when some will eat baby anoles. Anolis sagrei are very common. I heard something about scenting with fish??? Do you know if this works?

  • I heard scarlet kingsnakes can be difficult to keep as pets? That they tend to be difficult eaters. Does anyone what the deal w/ all that is b/c I really want to get one.

  • @orioles97 They are picky eaters, they eat anoles regulary, but usually late at nite when nobody is watching them, very shy snake

  • Yea I just got one a about a month ago. She only eats anoles at night.

  • how big should they be before i can give it a pinkie?

  • a hatchling can eat a pinky can't they

  • I caught one of these a couple of years ago but I let it go. Ive made it a goal to find another one, hopefully a younger one, and capture it. Theyre such a pretty snake.

  • scarletking snake have venom? I know too small snake

  • No, they do not have venom. They constrict their prey. Though, they have the same coloring patterns of the deadly coral snake. They use that to confuse and scare away predetors. ;D

  • Thank you I will be learn what kind of snake have venom I need buy books of snake beautiful color very small snake

  • I was thinking about getting a pet snake are these good as a pet???

  • Oh wow, I have been looking for a scarlet King snake for 8 months. I can't find a current breeder to get a hatchling from. Anyone know?

  • I caught a small one today..It's very beautiful, but I don't think I will have the time to find the correct food for this guy.. So I think I am interested in trading it to someone who may have something exotic of interest... This is NOT a good snake for someone who has no experience in the care and feeding of tiny snakes!

  • If its wild caught, you can feed it lizards.

  • cyclemania, i cant say for sure that they would never eat insects and/or worms, but dont get your hopes up--its more likely that they will require very small lizards or the VERY smallest pinky mice you can find. oh, i almost forgot, VERY small frogs, i.e. tree frogs is a possibility as well, until the hatchlings get bigger at least. Best of "luck" in working on breeding them...

  • small insects or worms, i'd think.

  • I have two scarlets. A male and a female. If I breed them, what do I feed them? They'll be soooo small.

  • Hey.. did you get any informative replies? I caught a small scarlet king today in my back yard.. too small for lizards or tiny mice.. Lemme know, eh?

  • I haven't heard anything yet. My scarlets are bigger and only eat small live pinkies.

  • ive been hunting every day for a scarlet ....no luck any tips?

  • cute!i got a a kingsnake too。come check my videos

  • ya king snakes are
