@Cleric775 You're supposed to think Leni's a boy. I'm playing it now, and there have been no references to Leni being a girl. (I'm in the fourth chapter now.) Earlier in the game, one of the girls referred to Leni as a guy, and Leni did not contradict her. On the list of how the girls feel about Oogami, Leni does not even appear.

@Cleric775 Oh, and I should also point out that at 3:40, Sakura even says "First, I would like to introduce the second male member of the Flower Troops. Leni Milhistrause!" (By the way, I probably butchered the last name.)

Does anyone know if Sakura Taisen (specifically Sakura Taisen 2) will ever be released on either PS1 or PS2 or even a PC CD-ROM Version? I've been looking around and it only seems to be available or Sega and Sega Dreamcast T-T I have neither. I only had an old Nintendo growing up because I didn't play many video games and nobody I know now owns a Sega anymore. Anyway I would like to play the game so if anyone knows that would be great.

It was released on the PSP with Sakura Taisen 1 on the same disc.

@koopchan Yes, i have bought the english wii version of sakura taisen V (Sakura Wars So Long My Love), and that is better than final fantasy 13 in xbox360.

And the other game is better than final fantasy is the Dragon Quest.

They can't to many cultural difference and people in America don't play dating sims. Even the president from Sega of America said that games like these don't appeal to America, but had he not done that and ever approprite game fro Japan come here, the Sega Saturn would have lasted longer.

Yes, it's ironic that the Sega pres of America said these games wouldn't sell... then Final Fantasy VII pretty much hit the final nail in the Saturn's coffin. DOH!

I found the game for PC. Play-Asia has it. I'm currently learning Japanese for a trip next year so hopefully I could persevere with a copy.

Bernard Stolar was the man who understimate RPG's and got fired from SCEA. He went to SEGA after he got fired.

By the way. I really need a collection of Sakura Taisen games on PS3 they can release worldwide so we people in the West can try the series for the very first time. Persona 3 did pretty well in the states. Strategy RPG with mecha and sim-dating can appeal to anyone else. And then making Sakura Taisen VI with CANVAS engine would be great.

Agreed completely. I don't play RPGs anymore because they all seem the same now, but Sakura Taisen is one series I would seriously buy had an English version be available on any format.

The worst thing was that the president of SEGA Japan agreed with Bernard Stolar that RPG's will never sell in the West. So wrong they were. And out came FFVII and killed the both competitors on the market. Saturn was a miserable failure in the West where Playstation got its foothold and especially SEGA's strongest market, Europe. But Saturn had the highest software sales in Japan during 1994 and 1996 but when FFVII came out everyone began to forget about Saturn. It's a sad story, actually.

If you want the game really bad and can deal with Japanese and region lockout is a problem, just get the PC versions, the have CD-ROM,XP,and DVD-ROM version of the game that you can play on the computer and all PC games are region free.
