loved this video , showed it to my 8 year old daughter to show her how wooden soindles are made , what was amazed at what your able to do with a wooden lath , and verry much enjoyed your video , now shes off to go on her computer and look up more wood lath desighns , thanks for the great video !
Is this video played a fast speed. It looks like your chisels are cutting the wood like butter. I dont know if it is the wood I am using or If my tools are sharp enough but I cant do that
The video is on a regular speed, it's the lathe that spins fast. :)
In this video I was experimenting how the Alan Lacer's popular skew chisel would cut, before I purchased it. If you look more videos, you'll see that the Lacer Skew, 3/8" thick, cuts much faster.
I have discovered a beautiful craftsman who is also a video artist as well...the music really excites me as I intently watch you work. I'm guessing you are in the UK.....keep producing!
