@rsommac ...what? Axel Rudi Pell aren't remotely nu-metal, they're pretty straightforward power metal if you listen to their other stuff (think Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, *shudder* Dragonforce). This is also a really faithful cover for the most part, and I don't see anything blatantly wrong about it. If you want to see a mockery of the original song, look at Nonpoint's version. That one sucks and IS nu-metal.

@rox1601 I disagree... about he's like every "guitar hero", I think Axel plays more like "blues-70's stuff" style, very far away from guys like Tony Macalpine, Yngwie or Vai. In other hand Axel doesn't want to appear like the main actor in his band, he's the composer and the leader, but he's not like Yngwie, and the rest of the band give a perfect balance to the music.

It was just about that the most guitar-heroes like him, Vai, Malmsteen etc. got often too long soli at their songs. Well marked: in my opinion. I have lots of friends that could listen all day long to "Solo-Orgies" and never want to hear any vocalist... anyway: great cover!

@rox1601 Yeah, I think I got you wrong, 'cos I'm not impartial enough when we talk about ARP, he's 1 of my 2 fav artist ever, hehe, Axel plays long solos, his style is more relax, even slow... he even play some wrong notes, that's the magic, I like that 70's style with modern sound, I know he's sometimes too repetitive, doing the same "formula" over and over, anyway... I love this song and I love this band. All the best! and excuse me if I was unfriendly with my last comment, not my intention.

You could be the best artist in your genre but if you're trying to play and sell music during a time period littered with rap, hip-hop, techno, and modern rock, of course you're not going to be as big. If Axel's newer music (Oceans of Time) was introduced more in the 80's when hard rock was much more active, he probably would've gained a much larger fan-base and by now, he probably would've been as popular as Phil Collins.

K so here's my view...nobody will ever nail it like Phil did...BUT...if these guys had been the ones to do this song, i honestly feel it would have been JUST as big as Phils version. I think those of us who are fans of the song, and rock as well, are very pleased with the grunge this band brought to the table. i fuckin love it..5 stars, standing O, feet shuffle, rocker bow...seriously bad ass.
