by tournament rulings, if a match ends by the end of the timer and both players have the same amount of stocks, then the person at a lower % automatically wins, which is why M2K just killed himself in the Sudden Death.

M2K Changed a lot for Brawl. He is a lot less greedy than he used to be and a lot more patient.

he didnt have to be patient in melee, theres nothing u can do about combos even if u see them comming a mile away, once you get hit your dead, thats why melee is terrible
