guys...really...I have tested it and FS, NS and HB is the way to go. Dueled with both plate and cloth armored players with aproximately the same amount of resilience and the damage output of obliterate is consistently lower. Obliterate is stil good as an execute indeed. The main problem with it is that it gets reduction from armor, being a phisical dmg ability. FS ignores armor totalu ( but not resilience). So really if you dont belive me try it out. The FS, NS and HB combination is better.

Am I missing something, half of the comments say you dont use obliterate because of resilience cuts the damage in half, so you should use frost strike instead... BUT doesnt resilience lowers that damage as well? Seems like obliterate crits for so much more, and the runes are really not a problem unless your bad and PVP as frost presence. Help me understand, whats wrong with obliterate?

There is nothing wrong with Obliterate. Obviously if you get a Killing Machine proc its a garantied crit. You pritty much stated all the obvious reasons for using Obliterate in your comment ;)

@DeadlyPawnageVEVO Frost Strike, Necrotic Strike and Howling Blast ignores resilience and armor if i remember correctly. Obliterate does not and you get more dps spamming Necrotic Strike, Howling Blast and Frost Strike than "wasting" so many runes on Obliterate.

The time when it is optimized to use Obliterate is when the targeted enemies health is under 35% and Killing Machine procs.

But I've almost stopped using Obliterate and it works like a charm.

wrong wrong wrong obliterate not used as SulliGaming said it uses 2 runes which stops you and then you have to wait for them to come online again and 2 the crit that it give with killing machine is not worth it because the resil of the player your attacking cuts it lower then Frost strike

@tomthewierdodunno they say for pvp dual wield is best. both work, but you can runeforge your offhand with razorice for increased frost damage as well as rune of the fallen whatever its called on your main hand. for pve though the 2hand seems to work very well though.

Death Knights are slightly more balanced but still have spell caster overpowered(ness), paladins can take too much damage, blah blah blah. Don't even get me started in gear.

I've ran countless tests, rawr..etc Frost Pres on boss > unholy you dish out 5k% (Dw) ... As for Frost PvP .. Best way to explain it is to try it. you gain more RP which = More frost strike .. From my experience with both two-handed and dual wielding, I would say that dial-wielding is better because you do much larger hits which are harder to heal through and generally take down enemies slightly faster. However against casters, the constant hits of both of the one handed weapons makes it more difficult for them to cast

When playing "2h can you explain why it isn't as good to 8 in unholy with 3 in morbibity and then glyph of DC instead of FS which means your increasing DC damage by 30% so when crit procs for obliterat use that then DC you do a shit load of damage... explain plox ty

Its simple... You stack matery = increased frost damage. Your Frost Strikes will eventualy do a ton more damage then DC would ever do. I have seen them babies hit for near 25K and DC wont hit for that amount. I only use DC when im kiting or healing myself.
