  • A lot of weather helm. Take down the flags

  • Wonderful video, but the most imponderable was your music choice. I really enjoyed them. In many parts I was thought they would be Catalan pieces, what's it their names?

  • riders of the storm remix xD

  • its not a carrack but a dutch improved build off.

filming is done off a dutch royal navy frigate and lynx helicopter.

  • Moii Gangster

  • This ship is a pinnace.

  • @HMGRosser

    Wikipedia - "gebouwd in 1595"

de eerste fluitschepen verschenen ongeveer in 1620

  • Great ship! Great music! Great author!

  • het is ook geen fluitschip die werden pas na 1620 gebouwd de duifken is afgeleid van een carrack mqaar dan op zijn hollands

  • this is not a frigate though.. it's a Fluyt ship:)

  • waarom die engelse vlag?

  • Het is de Australiasche NavyFlag omdat deze schip offcieel eigendom is van Australië. Daarom die ''britse vlag''

  • @fransjeclevers fluyt was bigger and is a trade ship, it would have a much larger hull.

  • @blackadder0sporetive look it up on the internet;) Duyfken is a fluyt

  • @fransjeclevers well it was a small one, it does look quite fluyt like, where did that name come from?

  • Weehow! Our Dutch ships on top!!

  • i would love to sail a ship like this all around the world

  • I'd personally prefer something slightly larger :P

  • Zo vét

  • duyfken princess of the sea

  • Wow, respect to the people on board. This video is breathtaking, like time stood still.

  • haha! i noe aye! how scary would that be! haha and bak in those days they would take that out for months at a time! imagine that!

  • months??? YEARS! and then missing your familiy + girlfriend and cannot get back so actuelly trapped on a ship. such a small ship (however the people were smaller those times) and people getting scurvy and maybe a enemy ship and cannon fights... the people today won't survive that anymore

  • Aye...people are much more whinies these days...with a good planning, and some modern knowledge, one could even use authentic foodstores and still stay healthy and fit month and years ^^..But, the people were notmuch smaller back then ^^

  • id be scard shitless omg she tipping over

  • i volunteered ob board this ship 2 weeks after she returned to australia from holland

  • Prachtige video dit, heb hem meteen gedownload. Mooi schip ook. En nette muziek eronder.

Vraagje over de muziek trouwens - sommige delen doen me zeer sterk denken aan Riders on the Storm, van the Doors. Maar wat is dit nu echt?

  • Het is Riders on the Storm maar dan instrumentaal

  • Verklaart een hoop.

    Bedankt! :)

  • What a sweet, lovely Vessel. I wonder, if she will be visiting Europe again, allowing me to visit her in turn ;)

  • This is great video, as specialy that i have the same interest as you.

Never seen the Duyfken in action like this!

You can also see my video's from the Duyfken on You Tube, long one is Duyfken and the short video is The Duyfken, hope that you can find them.

    Thanks for your nice video.

    Best regards
