  • I don't understand how anyone wouldn't want communism unless they are wealthy.

  • @OnlyCommunistYouKnow Some may argue that the 1% can concentrate even more wealth in a centralized economy where there are fewer checks and balances.

  • Down with the American Republic, UP with a second Soviet Republic! Workers of the World Unite!

  • @amsterdam78

Your example of Russia is a very poor example.

Russia was a failed economic state and the only reason that it has grown was because it embraced capitalism just like China has done.

You say down all you want but america is still a leader in the fields of science and technology.

  • 'it was all doled... out and everyone got their fair share' So people getting a fair share is bad now..?

  • @therealbentown

yes it is, unless everyone is doing the exact same work.

but the moment you have one person working harder than another and that other collecting, it's slavery. and no good has ever come from slavery

  • All this discussion and sappy sorrow gets us no where. Indians killed Indians too. They did not see them selves as one big group living in common purpose. They saw themselves by their nation (tribe groups) They saw us as a tribe to bargain or fight against in their own self interest. Out of the tribes nations, the white nation eventually dominated and won out for control of this nation. Not just because we had guns but because of the values and culture we brought with us.

  • im native american and im against communism.

alot of native americans run casinos whats more capitalist than that ? and the were capitalist back than they just put their tribe before first. like people put their family's first.

  • @Seouldrift7,

    It depended on the tribe.

  • @TheFlanker35 ya probably

  • @Seouldrift7,

The Pawtuxet and Narragansett people were free market and played an integral role in developing America's free market philosophy via influence on Roger Williams, an early advocate for free market capitalism. I've never understood why so many people condemn the whole of The United States' history because of the mistreating of indigenous people. If it weren't for the philosophical ideas of America, people wouldn't even know that persecution was wrong. What about the good?

  • @TheFlanker35 Jared Diamond tries to find the good.

  • @Seouldrift7,

He does a little bit in "Vengeance is Ours" and comes off somewhat anti-western in "Guns, Germs, and Steel", but the atrocities that happened in Western Civilization happened in every other culture. The so called Western ideals and philosophy of the 1500s have shown us that murder and genocide are wrong. Other cultures didn't think that way. The Aztec origin myth praised a human sacrifice of a diplomat.

  • @TheFlanker35 murder & genocide is everywhere in history

  • @TheFlanker35 Okay human sacrifice ?

Or the Spanish murdering 100 million people in there 1st 100 years of occupation

  • @rbouverat,

    "Okay human sacrifice ?"

Yes. Mexica(Aztec) folklore states that they moved from Aztlan to the valley of Mexico where they encountered Colhuacan. The Mexica leader asked to take the Colhuacan leader's daughter as a wife. He agreed. When the Colhuacan leader with other officials went to the Mexica to celebrate the wedding, they saw the Mexican priest dressed in the Colhuacan girl's skin. Instead of marrying the girl, the Aztec leaders butchered her alive and wore her skin.

  • @TheFlanker35 Yes its awful but killing 100 million people is as or more despicable

  • @rbouverat,

"Or the Spanish murdering 100 million people in there 1st 100 years of occupation"

That's a gripe to have with Spain, but even Spain didn't murder 100 million people. They murdered many and Pizzarro and Columbus were brutal, but many of the smallpox related deaths were completely unintentional.

  • @TheFlanker35 Well you almost completely wiped out a continent of poeple if you feel like defending genocide be my guest

  • @rbouverat,

No, smallpox wiped out two continents of people. It nearly wiped out Europe first so the surviving Europeans had a lot of immunity to smallpox. So when they came to America, they could survive the smallpox, but the indigenous people couldn't. The Europeans had no way of knowing that at the time of the first settlements. There was some genocide like with Lord Geoffrey Amherst, but the vast majority was unintentional.

Also, we're not responsible for Spain's actions.

  • @TheFlanker35 Ohhhhh so a few genocides are okay?

  • @rbouverat,

No, the genocide that was done was as inexcusable back then as it is today. It just isn't the defining characteristics of our culture or history.

"Yes its awful but killing 100 million people is as or more despicable"

Morality can't be quantified like that.

Killing 100 million people is no different from killing 1 single innocent person as far as morality is concerned, and as I said, most of those 100 million probably weren't intentionally killed; smallpox wasn't understood.

  • @TheFlanker35 Then were in agreemant

  • Most progressively, Native Americans transcended the gender concepts of man and woman and accepted homosexuality and transexuality - sexuality was guided by spirit - hence two spirit - rather than the outcome of reproductive organs. Thing is, this ignorant bitch doesn't know that.

  • Her point - the point she didn't know she was making - was that Native Americans believed in community. They never had a word for "own" as everything was open to sharing as long as it was agreed upon. This is what Karl Marx talked about - it is called primitive communism - were generally there is an egalitarian society in place....

  • Equality is bad?

  • big time ignorance, native "americans" did not follow communism or any other ism, thats white man's forked tongue at work!

  • The Native Americans were communists??

  • @Coeleomic08 Surely she wouldn't refute the statement, "Jesus was a hippie commie" Surely she wouldn't...

  • the American indians lived there first

and your revolution killed them, i spit on you tea party.

not on the american people just the tea party

and the American indians were not communists.

and if they were than i am a verry verry verry proud communist.

  • Jesus was the first communist in the world. Jesus was a Traitor!

  • @AntifaAustralia how the heck is jesus a traitor?

  • John Rutledge of South Carolina in particular is said to have read lengthy tracts of Iroquoian law to the other framers, beginning with the words, "We, the people, to form a union, to establish peace, equity, and order..."
