Burst will be sadly missed. I hope one day they'll return and produce the masterclass their ability alluded to. Origo was brilliant, raw. Lazarus Bird, brilliant, polished. Shame we never saw what was coming next.

That said, our references must be very different because I can't find the similarities you are talking about. Oblivion is different in tempo, rhythm, song structure and melody. It is essentially a 70s progressive song. Cripple God, while also progressive metal, is firmly rooted in melodic death metal and metalcore. To me, those are big differences. To you they are not apparently.
