  • the only good reason I can imagine for someone to dislike this song

is to do it by accident!!!!!!!!!

  • Burst will be sadly missed. I hope one day they'll return and produce the masterclass their ability alluded to. Origo was brilliant, raw. Lazarus Bird, brilliant, polished. Shame we never saw what was coming next.

  • come on...lets burst

  • @CharlieSincinatti my dick just burst....

  • you can hear similarities, but mastodon and burst are pretty damn different. good thing they're both awesome.

  • awesome stuff!to bad they disbanded though...

  • I love Mastodon. I just discovered Burst. I love them, especially this song.

why can't we be friends, why can't we be friends...

  • As an artist when you take all the things that makes another´s work unique and you turn them into yours you´re becoming a FUCKING THIEF. Don´t be stupid because it´s so cool defending an almost unknown band against another one who is becoming a world famous one. Mostly from the internet (is too easy being a wise critic from here).

And you´re very lucky for being anonymous because if you told me about my masturbation in my face I would kill you.

  • @manuwar86 If you are implying that Burst has stolen the ideas and concepts of Mastodon to make Lazarus Bird, then I think we need to discuss who is stupid no more.

Didn't realise masturbation was such a sensitive subject for you. Now I'm tempted to give you all my personal details so I can watch you fall over trying to kill me.

  • This shit is nothing but a copy of Mastodon. I love you Sarcodexia

  • @manuwar86 Except that Burst predates Mastodon, so in that case it is technically Mastodon that copies Burst. Also, it is interesting that you should think that both bands sound so very alike yet only one is shit. Try listening to the music instead of masturbating to the cover art.

  • @Acrobaphobic Hey, come on now. Mastodon isn't really all that bad. I do like the variety Burst has with their instruments more, but I can't take being unable to understand the lyrics. I'd likely think they were "the band" to listen to if I could just understand what they're saying. Besides, Burst is going to break up after this album, so it looks like I'll just have to stay on the Mastodon wagon for now.

  • @WatcherofTrends I gave you the wrong impression it seems. I love Mastodon! But while both bands play progressive metal I think they sound quite different.

  • Come on Acrobaphobic!!!! are u kidding me?

Congratulations, we all know you also know metal-archives. Burst earlier formed, what about the differences between mmmm.. third and last album?

I don't know why you want to establish differences between bands that are so CLEARLY ALIKE. Please, just listen to Mastodon's Oblivion and compare.

  • Finally, every art in the world can be described by anyone as he fucking wants. So don't be a child and just defend your own point without talking about another's masturbation cause it makes you look like an angry teenager without another better way to defense his own ideas ;)

Be respectful if you want to be respected.

  • @sarcodexia The childishness of my comment was a criticism and the reference to masturbation a figure of speech. I realise it is foolish to debate on youtube of all places but there you go.

Your last comment is exactly the sentiment that spawned my first.

  • @sarcodexia First of all, I agree art is highly subjective and opinions will always differ. That said, our references must be very different because I can't find the similarities you are talking about. Oblivion is different in tempo, rhythm, song structure and melody. It is essentially a 70s progressive song. Cripple God, while also progressive metal, is firmly rooted in melodic death metal and metalcore. To me, those are big differences. To you they are not apparently.

  • finally someone else has the balls to say they dont like the new mastodon!!!!

man I just dont care for it either.

    it sounds like fuckin OZZY!!!

  • This band has a really interesting and unique sound, I can't think of anyone else who sounds like this really.

  • @RacoCooper

Please... listen to Mastodon and later tell us.

  • Jesus HATES this song...

  • Did you honestly make your subscribers thumbs up you?

  • ME TOO!!!

  • What are you doing? You're 28 years old. TWENTY EIGHT. If you were a teenager I would let it slide, but come on. I clicked here, wondering if I would see the usual barrage of angry comments users like you receive. I wasn't that surprised until I saw your age. I'm truly saddened that there are actually GROWN PEOPLE who behave this way. I'm not going to yell at you. I'm just going to apologize. I'm sorry you never learned the value of human interaction and how to act like a normal person.

  • American fag.

  • Wow little boy....you've got issues....

  • You don't like it, why the fuck are you here watching it? Fucker issues.

  • This band is realllllly good, just heard about em today, on Music Choice

for some reason they remind me of Mastodon, another band i happen to like alot

  • They're both progressive, maybe thats why.

  • I just heard them now on Music Choice, and went here. Rock on bro!!!!

  • Fucken great..

  • love it

  • Found these guys out a couple days ago. Must say I'm very impressed. I don't listen to much of this type of music anymore but this shit is damn good.

  • Wow, this sounds amazing. Thanks for the upload; any more tracks? As I can't seem to find any more of them on here and I want to be sure before I buy Lazarus Bird.

  • you can check their myspace, i think they uploaded a couple of new songs apart form this one...and I assure you that is a must-have album xD

  • Ok thanks a lot for your help mate.

  • @Theratrix No doubt, this is the first one of their's I bought. I wish I could find more. I may break down and buy online some where!
