Yep! As a matter of fact, one would be reduced to mush! Luckily, in a sense, you wouldn' t have time to suffer. I was once on a train that hit a cow at about 70 mph in Brittany, France. It wasn' t a pretty sight, the poor animal had been cut in half!!! So, you can imagine the Acela hitting you, much lighter than a cow (at least, I think so, lol) at more than twice that speed! woosh, splat!
the reason for the sparks because the over head wire is frozen but this was cool and fast it reminded me of being over in cambridge with the eletric trolleybuses

Jones1660one 8 months ago
@Jones1660one ICE 3 is actually running 186 MPH => 300 km/h
TinyPiinkThing 6 months ago
@TinyPiinkThing In Germany it is running 186 MPH but between Frankfurt and Paris The ICE 3 is running 200 = 320 km/h. I were inside it.
Jones1660one 4 months ago

That wire, via that red thing, a pantagraph generates electricity and the pantagraph was generating the sparks.

or it could be faulty wireing seeing as the whole northeast corridor electrical system is well over 70 years old.
