This is a great song. Freddie's voice is perfect for the song. The guitars almost sound reggaeish mixed with distortion. I love the flanger before the final verse. Besides Put Out The Fire, This is one of HOT SPACE' only saving graces. The video is sort of lame though.

For anyone who doesn't get it, the video is indeed a homage to THX-1138, which was George Lucas' first feature film. The movie is about a future dystopian society where everyone is kept doped on drugs and "love" is outlawed.

Freddie is basically playing the same role that Robert Duvall played in the movie.

This album wasn`t very well received but when i bought it in 1982 i found it wierdly fascinating.This track had quite a groove but some of the songs were a bit shit.The album signalled a big change from their previous ones.

I was a big Queen fan for several years when I was younger. I still love to dig out their albums and play them loudly from time to time. This morning I played Hot Space and when this song came on I had a massive smile on my face. Calling All Girls is a real feel good track and I hope that by sharing it over on my Facebook and favouriting it on here that the radio stations pick up on it and give it a few plays. That'd be sweet...

Look at the images: they are highly symbolic and full of meaning.
