i play the verse like this 10th fret a string, ninth fret d string, g string open, eighth fret b string, 7th fret high e string. Gotta use all those fingers. This is your g chord. Slide everything down 5 frets, thats your d chord. Slide own 2 more frets and thats your standard c. Its essentially just the c chord "shape" the whole time. Order for the verse is g c, g d, g c, d g. I know this is probably confusing but i don't know the actual names for these chords.
@drummermantim Go see him live and see what chords he plays and also enjoy the show. He puts on a great show and all of his opening bands are good as well. I went to the show in Waco and it was amazing, I recommend that you go check out one of his concerts
@drummermantim The Song is in G, I think it goes back and forth between G, C, and D, it's a mixture of those chords. There might be some augmented ones in there, but that's the main gist.
Since Lucy Hale post about what a good singer he was, I started listening to his songs.. love them all.. :)

He has his guitar tuned to an "Open G" tuning. From there, you just find the different variations of the major/minor chords he's playing.
