Here's a trick; find yourself a decent sound recording program (Audacity comes to mind, but I don't remember if it's free). Turn off and programs that may make noises such as IMs and music players. Go to your Volume Control and get to the Recording section. Check the box under "Wave." You're now using your speaker-out as a recording device. Press "Record" and play the video. Trim, save, and play.
