I'm selling my Rick 360/12v64 on the Internet Auction now, but watching your Tubes, my mind is changing and started feeling like keeping it with me forever...... the issue is I can't play 12-strings guitar well......:(
Buddy, awesome work, man! I've heard this song a thousand times, but not appreciated the guitar work as much until watching and listening to you. Thanks.
Buddy, nice job on a vintage Beatles Classic, one of those songs you can shut your eyes and see John doing that funky bob up and down while he was paying. I always thought this song had some C &W elements to it.
Hey buddy how much did the rickenbacker 360-12 and 360-6vp cost? And im a fan of the Beatles and George Harrison. Is it alright if you could do the rolling stones and the animals covers
I've had them for a while now...and paid less than they would sell for now. A new 360-12 with Toasters will probably go for around $2500-$3000 and a new 360-6VP will probably go for around $2000-$2500.
hi exelent song its of my favorites you play awesome i want a rickenbacker jajaa xD well i buy the beatles to a tee volumes 1,2,3 and 4 if you want some songs visit the user jayethee to see the videos and tell me if you want a song in especific ok? well thanks and exelent videos!!
This one of my favorites of you playing. The chords themselves almost dictate the melody, sounds great they way you pick up every little nuance.
Where did you get your toasters? I have the high gains and can't even locate any toasters. An occasional one on Ebay for a fortune. I don't think they even make the reissues anymore. I may be out of luck on getting them.
Thank you! The toasters can be purchased directly from Rickenbacker or from their company website. Check out the Rickenbacker Botique and you'll find them. -BC
Thanks for the quick reply. I have a semi-hollow 12 string with toaster pickups (not a rick though) and I've been thinking of experimenting with flatwounds since its my understanding that everyone with Rick 12 strings in the 60s used flatwounds (Who, Beatles, etc)
hey buddy, what are your preferences as of the Rickenbacker pick ups? I love the RIC jangle but dont know exactly if I should stick with the high gains... do you know if you can get the toaster sound almost with the high-gains?
I personally like the Toasters better...and I've had both types of pickups in Ricks before. The Toaster has a subtle but noticible difference in tone and "jangle" so if you want that original Rickenbacker Jangle, go with the Toasters. They will drop right in the same slots your High Gain pickups came out of. It's a very easy switch to make. -BC
i knew about the fit, just couldnt decide on which of the two. do you think that a compressor on the high-gains and boost the treble(highs) up a little, turn down bass? i would rather not spend 300 dollars on 2 toasters (will if necessary) so if it is at all possible to do it with high-gains... If you have the time maybe you could demo both pickups!! Preferably 6 string variants of both. You have two 6 strings correct? If you could make a demo that would be great!!!!!
Somewhere in the DVD's I have a disc with a pickup changeout procedure on the Rick 360 when I changed out the "High Gains" for the "Toasters". If I run across it, I'll see if it is worth posting. The Toasters are worth the $ in my opinion. -BC
I've never owned a 330...but it is my understanding that the Ric 330 and Ric 360 are very similar in sound. I prefer the overall look of the 360 over the 330 as it is a more "deluxe" guitar. -BC
Thanks! All of my Rickenbackers have the Vintage Toaster Pickups that are rated at 7.4KOhm and they can normally be purchased direct from Rickenbaker. -BC
Once again a great job Buddy! I love watching you play and I'm always looking forward to see what you'll play next. Just can't beat the sound of those rickies, Keep on rockin!!
Hey Buddy! This is an awesome cover, I also enjoy listening to your Rickenbacker. I recently purchased a Gretsch Electromatic 5120 to add to my collection. It looks similar to the Tenneseann model but not as expensive!
Thanks! I'd like to own a nice Gretsch but I'll have to wait a little while before I jump onto one of those. I puchased 3 guitars this year and I have to stop somewhere...LOL -BC
