I remember being a teenager when this showed on TV. I'm 32 now! I never thought I'd see it again. My favorite all time tv movie. The most dramatic ending I'd ever seen, I cried and cried!! The book is even better.
@TheCutiegurl96 yeah actually he's said to be a Huron, not full blood tho, but he looks it, take a look at the rez movie he acts in War Party (1998) he looks Native and is Native, just not a full blood. And yeah it might be depressing but it is reality and I don't really see it as something to drag me down but to push me forward. To continue on no matter what comes at me. Remember, in the end, he is there for her even though she can't see him and she has little Raven with her :)
The mother reminds me of my Mom. She was really depressed when we lived in New Mexico. She missed the forests of Missouri. And last August, a friend and I went to So. Dakota and she thought the whole trip was boring because there were very little of trees to see. The dessert and the plains are not for everyone. I think both are beautiful, but the plains win out for me.
@marta5732010 I know what you or rather your mothers mean, until a few years back I had always lived near the ocean, now I miss it so much. Good thing, that I still live near some wood lands or I would really go mad.
@Renoir1314 uhh...I'm Native and neither I nor any of my siblings, or my mother, or my grandfather or his parents were lactose intolerant...what do you mean by that?
Some ethnic groups are more likely to be affected than others because their diets traditionally include fewer dairy products: Almost all Asians and Native Americans are lactose intolerant, and up to 80% of African Americans have symptoms of lactose intolerance. Their ancestors did not eat dairy foods, so their bodies were not prepared to digest dairy, and they passed these genes on.
thumbs up if you think native men are the sexiest in the world :D

They were giving their "native american" ward Milk. Big mistake, he was probably lactose intolerant.
