Very nice. I already have the Sony HDR HV1000U which is a very nice camera too. I am thinking about complementing it with this camera. I use Mac with Final Cut express, but am thinking about upgrading to Final Cut Studio. Very nice video, clear and nice still Pans.

If you are fairly new to filming and editing, I would recommend the sony HV20..it shoots in lower light better than the HDR-FX7, it also shoots in 24p where the HDR-FX7 does not. I own both cameras and love them both. Buy the HV20, shoot and edit, and then save for the pricier one...Good Luck!

Thanks for sharing this test video. Maybe you can answer this for me. I just bought an FX7 and would for my future posts to look this good. From the get-go the quality is very high (youtube settings set to 360p). Then if I option for the 1080HD it looks just a bit better, still awesome quality. How does this work? any extra settings adjusted when uploading that you can offer? did you use the "extra sharp" settings the FX7 when filming?? Again, thanks for sharing your video!

I have the both cameras, also a V1 and a Fx1000. Fx7 & the V1 are not as good in low light as the FX1. Fx1000 is far better then the others
