It's so damn simple, leave the churches and their marriage alone. Have the states set up a system to recognize the partnership between two (or more) people. It could be on some sort of signed document for partners, and they would be issued the same rights to eachother as a married couple would be like the example he gave to see your loved one in the hospital while they are sick. People have fought for YEARS so that all Americans will have EQUAL rights. Abortion is an option and women should be able to explore ALL options. I'm not saying they shouldn't have the right, but I'm pointing out that equating homosexuality to zoophilia simply because they are both sexualities is an oversimplification. As to consent via body language and vocal expression that's probably the closest you have to mutual consent, but even then the relationship will never be the same as human-human interaction, so it should be equated to homosexuality simply because it's a form of sexuality.

Some countries don't have laws against zoophilia e.g. Germany, Russia etc, but they don't advocate it or don't allow pornography of it. Also equating homosexuality to zoophilia is just as disingenious as you're equating homosexual couples as less than human.

Again saying that zoophilia is a sexuality, like homosexuality, and therefore should be accepted is quite the oversimplification. For one since it's interaction with a different species entirely, there's no real method of understanding consent, or when and if you do harm to the animal. Homosexuality on the other hand has no such problem, in fact no credible research has indicated that homosexual couples have any higher number of problem compared to heterosexuals.

Read these verses in the Bible about what God says about homosexuality: Rom 1:26, 1 Tim 1:10. & since He is God, He is not wrong. If some did threaten to abort only gay children it could lead to a public outcry and ban on abortion even if it's temporary. But it isn't fail proof. probably a 63% success rate.

It's so damn simple, leave the churches and their marriage alone. Have the states set up a system to recognize the partnership between two (or more) people. It could be on some sort of signed document for partners, and they would be issued the same rights to eachother as a married couple would be like the example he gave to see your loved one in the hospital while they are sick. Then you could leave the churches alone like a good government should do, and still have equality.
