  • is the trail ripper any good. i have heard so many horrible reviews

  • @chubbarbineX19 The Trail Ripper is more then just good but just like any mechanical device you do need to take care of it and perform regular maintenance from time to time. Being a mechanic that works with Trail Rippers and other Go-Ped models, I can say that most problem issues people get faced with could have been avoided if they simply took the time to read, understand, and follow the advice of the Operator's manual.

  • @PMWgoped ah. well that may be so. i guess that these people just dont know how to take good care o them

  • Thanks, now it runs swell.

Although this thing can't start on it's own, you always need to hold the throttle a little after choking it to get it started. But it's performance is awesome, really worth the price. Though it could be a little cheaper. Slap on some onroad tires and you got yourself a sport bike :D Running 32:, Needle settings stock-a little more rich. Full synthetic oil too.

  • CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT NOW???

Tell me how much to screw outwards for Idle screw, HSN and LSN for the INTERCEPTOR!

I am also planning to go back to 30-40:1.

Please PMWgoped, I know you guys can do BETTER THAN THIS!

  • I am having problems too, only ran 3 tanks through it. Mineral Based on like the instructions said, ran 25:1 for the first gallon then switch to 40-50:1 this dam thing already ate 2 spark plugs =.= that's why I moved to 40-50:1, also the carb has major problems. I went back to factory setting (L: 1 and 1/4, H: 2 and 1/2) problem was it was bogging everywhere. Idle and full throttle. Leaned it out but it also bogged as if it was starving for fuel. I already turned it in small increments, no use.

  • @Naturepheonix 40 and 50:1 mixture is WAY to lean for that high output engine and the carb. jets should not be moved more then a 1/2 turn in either direction. If you have to run a leaner fuel/oil mix then try 32:1 but much leaner then that. The combination of leaning the fuel/oil mix and carb. jet setting may have created a problem. Make sure you have not over oiled your air filter. It only takes a very light coating so you do not restrict air flow. Plugs will foul with a restricted air flow.

  • just got the interceptor. Should the rear wheel move freely like the front wheel? it hard to adjust the rear brake cause it either stuck to the chain or stuck to the disk.
