  • Dumbass she in the interview she alive. Fucking retards.

  • Feel sorry for the lady, but it sure looks like a win in russian roulette. Not impressed by the stunt, even if it had worked out. Sorry again, but this is a really silly thing to do and does NOT prove your flying, nor your judgement skills. (obviously) Not so sure I would give my airliner to the command of this type of person.

  • Well, if she had died doing that stunt, she would have at least died doing what she loved doing!

  • hi-speed landing?

  • no doubt she momentarily looked at herself in the mirror as they do as they drive cars...

  • @gho3stsoldier Stupid comment

  • She had a blonde moment

  • at the beginning: unfortanately that is what bryan jensen was doing, right before he crashed :(

  • Was this a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the flight safety school? Did she keep her job?

  • 0:45 looks like the girl in according to jim :D

  • Same exact thing happened to a pilot named Lindsey Hess. Yes, he survived doing the same stunt, flying his biplane inverted, cutting a ribbon just a few feet from the ground..

  • Well, she almost died doing what she loves doing!

  • should have gone to BetterWigs

    com

  • I think that she should die while making me a sandwich.

  • Nice landing

  • Go I hate the 90's videos format with that horrific music.. I hated it then and i hate it now

  • woman pilot that why plane crashed

  • @nornironbloke.......I nearly wet myself laughing...love it

  • would suck if the ribbon still wasent cut! haha

  • See every things great until they have to REVERSE!

  • Ya gotta wonder though....while she's flying a commercial jet......her mind wanders a bit and suddenly she's reviewing an aerobatic routine in her mind.....Then...Wait! Oh my god! Back to reality. This isn't a biplane. ((But I wonder if this big pig can fly inverted.)) "Hold on people....We're about to hit some turbulence"....Weeeeeee!!!

  • Where is she now? She's hot and I'd pay huge to have her teach me some aerobatics....

  • she got some BALLZ

  • She sure cut the ribbion.. Lol

  • She also holds the record for landing upside down.

  • gutsy lady!!!

  • I love JOANS hair.

  • DUMB BROAD PUSHED HER "SKILLZ" TOO FAR- LIVED BECAUSE OF A ROLL CAGE AND NO FUEL LOAD. BAD JUDGMENT KILLS PEOPLE! THE AIR DOES NOT FORGIVE, EVEN ONCE!

  • her respawning to the kitchen saved her life

  • LOL I've got to say it.

    GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN!

Actually, forget that, even the kitchen is too dangerous...

    :p

  • Was not a fun thing to do!!! And Apologized!! What a top person!

  • The title should have been: "Hair stunt goes wrong"

  • @MaedaMoonie excellent

  • Comment removed

  • Now she has the record for landing the plane upside down.

    Man that hair scared me.

  • I hate tore up one of the last original ultimate biplanes

  • if it wasnt enough for them to cause accidents while driving cars....now they are flying? fuck that im moving to the moon

  • "It was not a fun thing to do" Geeeze, whatta party pooper.

    Nice hair though.

  • a starship on the back!, niiiice

  • how did she look before her accident? :D

  • i wanne see the 767 jumbo jet!

  • If I ever see a United 767 to loops outside of JFK, I know who's at the stick.

  • lol at her hair

  • Hey she remembers everything except for the part where she f*cked up! how interesting ; )

  • I've met Joanne Osterud and seen her fly---she's superb. Anyone who pushes an aircraft to its limits consistently will face emergencies and (possibly) an accident on rare occasion. Her being a woman is immaterial, completely and utterly.

  • @jrcadet4 WELL SAID !!

  • @jrcadet4 Absolutely!! (and I'm a male)

  • the description should say and amazingly female's are still allowed to fly. back in the kitchen biatch!!

  • @matttatts

Maybe you're a better pilot than she is ?? Easy to criticize when all you fly is a keyboard. Numbskull !!!

  • She has Donald Trump hair!

  • Women- know your limits

  • well no shit she knows the difference between stunt pilot and airline pilot

  • she should have put landing gear on top.

  • @highlo3517 Ha!

  • I am mystified as to who anybody would think this Pilot would lose her airline job because of this incident. Are they worried she might also screw up while cutting a ribbon flying upside down at an airshow with her airliner?

I suppose my Taxi driver buddy should be fired for for crashing his race car at the weekend....

  • @twohelmets Yeah, sack that cabbie!!

  • @twohelmets Yeah not to mention it's a night.

  • @twohelmets there should be a double like for this comment

  • i like how she explains what a stunt pilot does. Addddaaauhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Twilight air show..... ? wtf

  • Haircut 100!!!

  • hot, lower density air rising up from the ground heated by the fireworks, maybe that's why the plane fell down

  • lmao @ "it was not a fun thing to do"

  • Inverted night time aerobatics at ground level is common place,i wonder why she screwed this simple manuover up.Question? Has anyone tried to do this moronic stunt since? I dought it.Some of the best in the business would'nt try to pull this stunt off.

  • @puckerfactor1 Yeh, lol "Inverted night time aerobatics at ground level is common place" Ha

  • @tek5828 Maybe she thought she had the eyesight of a nocternal bird,an owl maybe?

  • 767 jumbo jet? lol

  • @Jerrycobra She flies a 767 as her day job.

  • @rossmetacraft not after this accident.

  • @beergut111 Are you saying they fired her for this? That would be extremely lame ... to say the least.

  • @rossmetacraft most airline management is lame. She now has an accident as a result of pilot error on her record now and was probably violated for careless and reckless operation.

rather big deal and kinda hard to fly a 767 with a suspended cert.

  • @beergut111 Aerobatics do not qualify as "careless and reckless operation" and she would not be "violated" nor would her 767 type rating be revoked. That's like saying NASCAR drivers would lose their regular driver's license for crashing during a race ...

  • @rossmetacraft you dont understand how it works. You dont need a drivers license to drive in nascar. but you need a pilot certificate to fly in an airshow.

although it's not illegal to crash a plane they can, and have violated people for careless operation. Just ask Bob Hoover. He had his medical suspended and he didnt even crash.

  • @beergut111 You're right, they can violate a pilot for careless operation. That's not what happened here. This was a mistake during a stunt. Very big difference. And I do have a clue. I'm a certificated pilot and I know at least one pilot who has severely damaged an aircraft due to a mistake. Did they pull his cert? Nope. They just had him undergo a flight surgeon's evaluation and no further action was taken. Now are you just speculating or do you have proof that she was fired or lost her cert?

  • @rossmetacraft i have no idea who this person is. but i can tell its stuff like this that makes united just fire you for someone else.

  • @beergut111 Now you're back to talking about her getting fired. There's a huge difference between getting fired from an airline and losing your pilot cert or type ratings. United could fire her for this (especially if she's one of the higher-paid pilots ... airlines are looking for every chance to save a buck) but they can't take her cert. Only the FAA can do that, and they wouldn't do that in this case. The worst I could see them doing is requiring a medical eval or some sort of check flight.

  • @rossmetacraft first you cant lose a type rating. second, you cant fly for an airline with a suspended certifiacte. so the airline probably wont wanna pay your for nothing. I was FAA inspector for 17 years and a crash at airshow cause by the result of pilot error is a serious safety issue and grounds for suspension. Bob hoover had his suspended and he didnt even have an accident. When i flew for Northwest the last thing i would ever do is exrta flying. No reason for extra risk on my cert.

  • @beergut111 Like I said, twice now, I agree that the airline could fire her ... I never stated otherwise. They don't even need a reason. Where I disagree is with you saying that this incident was "careless and reckless operation" and that the FAA would pull her ticket for it, because I've seen mistakes like this made without the pilot losing his/her cert. At the end of the day, every case is different, and all we can do is speculate.

  • @rossmetacraft well you're allowed to disagree. Ive spent years as an faa ops inspector, this is careless and reckless operation of an aircraft. Just like taking off with ice on the wings. If you fly at 10ft without the intent to land....and you crash. that is careless and reckless.

Being an airshow with waivers in place, accidents can happen. If i was flying a 767 for united i wouldnt put my job in jeopardy flying around like this. That makes the case of careless even more so.

  • @beergut111 Okay, the fact that you're comparing deliberate stunt flying with taking off with contaminated wings says a lot. I'll bow out of this discussion now ...

  • @rossmetacraft ok no problem.....apology accepted.

  • @beergut111 "Being an airshow with waivers in place, accidents can happen. If i was flying a 767 for united i wouldnt put my job in jeopardy flying around like this. That makes the case of careless even more so."

No, that makes the case that you're a dull drudge that believes job "safety" is life's ulitmate goal. This lady was pushing the envelope, doing something a little extra, that the "Mr. Rigid" types can't contemplate. Some people DO things. It's her life to live, not yours.

  • @beergut111 If anyone was going to investigate to find someone at fault then looking in the pilot seat would be the last option. I'd start with the people who said it had to be done at night because the mayor will be having dinner with guests and he'd really love to impress them.

  • Hey Joanne, 1978 called and wants your haircut back.

  • Women pilots as bad as women drivers I guess

  • @QuantumQuacks because im at work??

  • All aboard the fail plane!

  • @shess0501 First off, You can't fly at all. Secondly, you couldn't even afford to buy a private pilots license. Thirdly, you're a disgrace to all human beings alike.

  • i guess all this male chauvinism- comments are done by non-pilots..

if you assh do something wrong in your job your boss will clear it

if a pilot is do something wrong (man or woman) - no one can help... so shut up please or talk about cars

  • mom???!!!

  • mom???!!!

  • So many experts ! Let's try this. Tonight hop in your car, find the most narrow, unforgiving stretch of road you can, turn off your headlights and drive it at 80mph. Now imagine doing it upside down. Ground level stunts should be banned at night for this exact reason. "Sight pictures" go away at night. Aircraft don't have sufficient forward lighting for this. When you can't see the ground between yourself and the "target" it becomes VERY difficult to judge your height above the ground.

  • thats what happens when you put a women behind the stick and not on the stick

  • whats he saying?

    767- jumbo jet???

    o0

    747 is jumbo jet only.

  • For saltybits & shess0501:

All the accidents with comertial air planes was with male pilots. Leave the womans alone. ¿Ok?.

  • @shess0501 Let me guess: You...watch Chuck Norris movies, eat only meat and potatoes, have never left your state since birth, your friends call you Archie Bunker,

and you drink Budwieser or Shlitz, but most significantly, is your memebership with the KKK.

  • confusious say woman who fly plane upside down have crack up

  • @shess0501 you say that but do you have the skills to fly aerobatics or even an airplane... ???

  • No really any Darwin awards handed out to airshow pilots....but there should be.

  • @shess0501 Most of the best aerobatic pilots in the world are women.

  • @AllenRockwell false

  • @skipplet It's a fact of simple biology. The inner ear (where the equilibrium is) of the female human is designed differently than the male, they have better spacial orientation and are far less likely to become disorientred during aerobatics. This is a fact, no my opinion.

  • @AllenRockwell Also false.

  • @skipplet Your argument is compelling and your facts are strong. I guess that settles it then. Thanks for clearing this up for us.

  • @skipplet

Betty Skelton Frankman - Known as the first lady of aerobatics

    Patty Wagstaff - A world-famous airshow pilot

Diane Hakala - US Aerobatic team 1994-97

Caro Bailey Bosca - Aerobatic champion, Pitts Special.

Nancy Lynn - First-rate aerobatics instructor.

Suzanne Asbury Oliver - Pepsi skywriting.

Marta Bohn Meyer - Champion aerobatic pilot.

Montaine Mallet - Co-founder of the French Connection Aerobatics Team

Svetlana Kapanina - Russian world champion aerobatics pilot

  • @AllenRockwell would you like me to name like 2000 male pilots?

  • Wimminz.

  • i dont see shit, only colours

  • at night??? bad idea....

  • why isnt she in the kitchen?

  • @callumchandler

Ouch, You may get nasty replies on that one.

  • @callumchandler wtf, your stupid

  • @chivasjavier96 and your gay

  • Comment removed

  • @chivasjavier96 HAHAHAHAAHAHHA does your mother know?

  • Bad spatial awareness....

  • MEDICS!remove that scorched clit from this woman and replace it with a new one...on the double! :))

  • She is very lucky she lived! she must have know wat she was suppose to do when she crashed, Because I bet that glass/Plastic broke!

  • In soviet russia, ribbon cuts you.

  • @marshfield01 In soviet Russia, PLane flys you.

  • Well done for a inverted landing

  • It's ok, because the ribbon is now...BEHIND BARS!

  • Inverted, zero altitude, twilight, fireworks? I wonder why she crashed! Why did'nt she have a wolverine on PCP in the cockpit with her to make it tricky! Silly cow!

  • Confucious say, "Woman who fly airplane upside down, have crack up."

  • SHOULD'VE STAYED IN THE KITCHEN !!

  • See this kind of thing at the super market when two women try for the same parking space !

  • The airplane is/was an Ultimate 10-300 biplane, built by Gordon Price. It was highly modified by someone I know well, who Joann hired to do an extensive amount of work on. She stiffed him to the tune of some $20,000, never paid for the work performed. She had a long history of that kind of business.

  • @ludmas

Thats a lie. I dated her for 2 years. She paid her bill.

    How do I know?

    I helped her.

  • Joann Osterud ranks up there with Patty Wagstaff, they are both among the best out there, barring gender. Does anyone know if that was a Sukhoi she was flying? It looks like it, too dark to tell.

  • She needs a haircut.

  • what airport ?? our NHWING pilot are very good.

  • @shess0501 I know some great female pilots in CAP. so stuff it!

  • basically this happened because she got to low and hit the ground

  • @bufferbrown FFS! It was her hair!

  • She doesn't have Nina Hartley's harsh lisp though.

  • 767 Jumbo jet.....hmmm.

  • Doh 1950 she's old enough to be your granny!!

  • This looks like a fun thing to do!!

  • Its just too bad it happened to the Bluehawk. Definately one of the best bipes in the world.

  • Yeah a woman trying to pull a man's stunt!

  • 3rd time unlucky!

  • lol, she looks Nina Hartley

  • well...she does have a cockpit and knows how to handle a joy stick.

  • good thing it was a biplane

  • Thats,women,drivers,for,you!!

  • il tell you what if u got into trouble on a commercial flight shes the sort of pilot u had better hope is flying it. i bet shes shit hot between the sheets as well lol

  • how come she said it wasnt fun thing to do???

it seems so fun to me!!!

  • 208 outside loops.. are you kidding me hahahahahah

  • Her comment about how she wants to die is something for thought.

  • Women don't look good as pilots...

  • They also aren't good pilots. They tend to crash (like in this video) while putting lipstick on or adjusting their maxi pads.

  • Uninjured!?

    Lucky.

  • Too bad about her face and hair.

  • FUCK YOU HATIN' MUTHERFUCKER... Must be why you're hiding YOUR face and hair, huh.

  • Not enough attention from momma for you, huh? Sad, you probably compensate by driving little homade cars around cornfields wearing shades and black gloves.

    ;)

  • Quite the contrary. We who show our faces, jump into all aspects of life, enjoy all of what we WANT to, and SHARE what we love with other people is called LIVING. Sorry for your un-loved little introverted homo ass that you'll never see the attributes of living like we all do. You're not just pitiful, you're pathetic.

    Carry on.

  • Wow! You completed several sentences without using the F-word. The boys at the pool hall will be disappointed.

  • A "he" wasn't flying the airplane.... SHE lived, and walked away from the crash. :)

  • did he died?

  • Well, any landing you can walk away from...

  • I've often thought that Joann Osterud sucked as an airshow pilot. Now this is conformation to me. NEVER EVER FLY AEROBATICS IN THE DARK!!!!! What a waste of a perfectly good Ultimate Bipe!!!! What a dumbass!!!

  • Morrica maybe her wig slipped in flight and thats why she crashed , im sure she is a great pilot but lets hope she never gets confused in that airliner and tries stunts !!!!

  • that's what you get when you let a woman fly, hihi ;-)

  • your damn right!go wash a dish ,u can't even drive a car,an airplane???!!!!jesus...murderer

  • love the clueless narrator.

  • ROFL

  • Is that a wig?

  • I like to sleep!

  • Let's talk about that hair.

  • Let's do. It was almost more interesting than the accident. Especially at the end where the wig wants to take off.

  • Women pilots heh.
