  • the danger with these giant ships is that they can brake in half whent in the midle of two waves thats is very dangerous because the ship will hang in free air between the waves and the weight can snap it in half

  • Nothing like a bit of bad weather to relieve the boredom.

  • I wonder where this ship is travelling because the crew is Turkish fellows. I think this is too rough for the Med. It must be in the ocean.

  • do the containers ever fall off the ship?

  • @rysliv

yes more often than you think

  • @rysliv sometimes yes.

  • @Dreamlgider

All the damn time is more like it. The mid to north atlantic is littered with partially submerged containers. Very dangerous. I have crossed the atlantic several times working on yachts and have seen several each time. I would love to pop one open sometime and see what is inside.

  • i wish one day to live this experience...i love waves..

  • @PGouv you'd puke your landlubber guts out for the 1st three or 4 days and then cry for your mamma until you got home. You love waves... stay on land and watch 'em from your computer. I've done the North Atlantic in the middle of winter. It's not all that fun. In fact, it sucks with licking and slurping noises. You can't eat, you can't sleep, you can't walk, you don't get a minutes rest or peace. You're in the Devils bathtub and he's ripping farts.

  • @psyclepath1964

Absolutely, and I am just glad that you say... I wonder why most people think this is sooo romantic or pleasantly adventurous. It is really the Devil's bathtube, just as you say. Lost some pals there.

Without no intention to patronize anybody's wishes and dreams here, if one can avoid this Devil's bathtube, then do so! Believe this, this is no fun.

As a retired seaman I am only glad to be alive and still try to wash the shit of years and years out of my pants, you know. ;-)

  • I have and I tell you it aint fun at all. Very hairy, you get thrown around all over the place.

  • @PGouv ofc until u flip over or cross side. and u need to swim in it ^.^

  • @PGouv

Be careful what you wish, for it may come true. ;-)

From a sea-man with no intention to pun.

  • @kickniko

he would be shitting his pants ;)

  • @marisa82

Just like I did time after time again. Started so confident and strong in the harbours, but the sea just put me in to my place in seconds, that is. ;-)

You know, one of the most intense smells of this profession is that of shit in pants. ;-) Forget about salty water and fresh winds and the like. We all smelled after shit in the crew. ;-)

  • @kickniko

where were you working as seaman?

  • @PGouv Yeah after 20 days in a row with this kind of weather you will hate it i promise you!! You cant sleep you cant eat anything.

  • @PGouv not to nice to get to sleep in

  • Türkler her yerde

  • @neandroslu i dont know what that means but ill like it anyway haha ;)

  • @neandroslu Tam Türk hemde. Arkadan catal bicak sesleri geliyor. 2 tane kaptan direksiyon basinda, 3 kaptan arkada kafayi cekiyor. Sallamislardir firtinadan önce oltayi assagi, simdi cupralari rakiyla götürüyorlar. Dikkatli dinlersen, alayinin kafasi matiz, hatta sona dogru biri sarki söylüyor. Avrupalilarda olsa 2 kaptan direksiyonda,2 si kusmakla mesgul, birisi kalpten gitmisti hahahahahahahahaha

  • The guy is speaking Turkish. I wonder if its the Black Sea or something... And who's that singing in the background? As if everything is okay... :-P

  • Meh.

  • Whew those ARE big. Looks like 40-50ft swell with 30kt winds. Where was the video shot?
