well to be honest we dont know if his wii isnt bricked anymore as he could of just put a working wii's video in his video and said that its his wii. It would of been better to show us its unbricked from a video camera like he did at the start

Semi-Bricks are easy to prevent. as long as you DON'T update your wii you'll be fine.

you can use priiloader and system menu hacks to block disc and menu updates.

Full Bricks are more annoying, but if you have priiloader and Bootmii installed you can restore it, but you NEED acces to the homebrew channel. to prevent it, just pay attention on what you're doing and use tutorials when you instal new sofware
