Back's still the hardest and on most occasions I get second or third opinions. I usually do a 9-11 on the crown, followed by 7 to 2 inches above the ear, then a 5 until the top of the ear then 3,1, and 0 on the back portion as I have twin twirls on the back that make shaping it up in the back myself impossible. If it is very short, it is not noticeable and is ignored. I currently have faux hawk and it works fine, otherwise I go with the cut in this video or a buzz cut. Gotta be frugal.

Good tutorial but I still find the back the hardest to do. Personally I like using the plastic length guides and doing the same as in lining out the "layers", but then kind of kicking the tip up as you reach the edge of the next upper layer. If you cut your hair a number 6 and then follow it underneath with a number 3, but just cut upwards and then stop and pull back, you will get a defined edge. If you tilt the trimmer back and kick the front tip up and away from your scalp, it tapers it.

Aside from the military hair cut what else can you do? Seriously you're leading ppl into a dissaster. I do my own hair but I use mirrors. Its much better and I could do fades or a straight hair line on the back, this one is tricky and time consumming but you wanna make sure to get it right. All you have to do is face the wall in your bathroom and with the help of mirror, you see your back. Once you get the hand movement correct, your good to go. Try it, also it helps to cut bottom up.
